    Supercharger - Escanaba, MI

While the Norway CHAdeMO is great... it doesn't really help me make my travels any easier since it's so out of the way (along with Escanaba) from where I go in the UP. I'm hoping the state helps Marquette, Houghton and Ironwood get DCFC soon. Marquette is supposed to be getting a Supercharger as...

    VW ID4

Some people's needs don't involve traveling. I have (adult) family that have never driven outside the state, and I doubt outside their *county* in a decade or more. A Tesla would be hilariously extravagant overkill for them. It's all about knowing your actual needs.

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

I'm not overlooking it. I just like the Mach-E more than I like my Model 3. Road trips will cost more, sure. Doesn't phase me. EA isn't the only option either.

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

    Who said anything about EA?

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

That is *highly* dependent on where you live. In South Dakota, obviously Superchargers win. But not everywhere.

    Any pilots here?

Pre-COVID yes, I was more than halfway done with my PPL. I'm not going back to be shoulder-to-shoulder with anyone until it's safe to do so. It's just a hobby for me, not worth the risks.

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

That looks better than the Mid Range charge curve I get in reality on V2 Superchargers, where I'm always down below 75kW at 50-60%. There are so few V3s I've never yet seen one to try the MR on it.

Mustang Mach E? What will I forgo?

I've been a Model 3 owner for nearly two years now, and I have a Mustang Mach-E on order to replace it. The "Autopilot" is not something I really think about, as I don't have Autopilot on my Model 3. The Mach-E will have "hands free driving" in 2021 via OTA update, so to me that's a step up...

Standard Range Model 3 Now Available for $35,000

GM has an option on the Bolt where they deliver it without back seats just for fleet use. Something tells me it's going go be a long time until Tesla starts caring about fleets.

It's right in the VIN as well.

    Midwest Supercharger Christmas Wishlist

The UP of Michigan is a big one for me, and the planned charger in Escanaba isn't particularly helpful when my goal is to do Detroit - Tahquamenon Falls - Sault Ste Marie - Detroit or a cross-UP road trip. The Supercharger in Gaylord is too far south, and the one on Escanaba is too far out of...
