Took delivery of our white Model Y Dec 5. My wife decided then she wanted the homelink. So we ordered online, received delivery of homeland to the house, and mobile service came and installed for free. Easy peasy.

** UPDATE ** It's been about a year since I considered buying new tires. I went with the Continental PureContact LS. 10,000 miles later and I still love them. Soft, quiet and great performance.

I’m late to the party here. Congratulations on your decision. My comment echos one earlier. I was a serial bmw owner as well. 5x. Think about it this way, a year or two from now as the other manufacturers continue to switch over to ev’s, you won’t regret going with the EV now.

...One more thing, we got the error message to go away by doing a "soft" reboot--holding both scroll wheels down at the same time. Turning the car off and on had no effect.

....and I am not using a "HUB"--Jeda or not. Just standard what came with car in late 2018. Never had a problem until the latest software update either. I've had the thumb drive for almost 2 years now without any issues.

I'm having the same issue. Called Tesla. Friendly guy but pointed me to "the problem must be with your thumb drive". IF you buy a new one, there is an option on the menu to have the car format the drive. That is what is referenced above. Just poke through the menus and you'll find it.

I've read some positive comments about the Pirelli's. I had good experience with them back in my BMW days

Remember, you can set the distance for the door to open--typically 10-20'. If you house is that close to the street, pick a lower setting.

2 years and counting for me with Homelink. No $4k issues, but just be aware of what to push if needed....

go to your settings. you can set your default to be relative (like +5 over speed limit) or absolute (like 90 mph! are you kidding me?!!!)

OP, getting close to my neck of the woods. That's a great part of the country to be driving on a nice day.
