I have the Tekonsha ZCI kit installed on my 2019 M3. It was working perfectly but now it is activating the brake lights when plugged in. I’ve disconnected it from power (VC left) and tried the reprogram sequence several times with no luck. Anyone else have this issue and a solution?

Finally got my Tekonsha Modulite ZCI installed and it works fine - so far. My 3 had the grey plug but I did not route it down far enough when I installed the hitch, so I could not use it as a power source after the fact. Make sure to run a long enough wire from this plug or route it down further...

As things go, I did not get to the install yet.

Has anyone used that plug to power their wiring harness - instead of going to the battery or hooking to the power under the back seat? I'm going to install the Tekonsha Modulite tomorrow.

Anyone get similar noises while driving? I get them while accelerating uphill and at other random times.

I had a charging issue when I went from the Leaf to the M3 on my JB Pro 40. I called Emotorwerks and got a live human that sorted it out quickly. I'd give them a try.

Only voids it if the hitch is proven to be the cause of the damage.

Model 3 Trailer Hitch Wiring Plug?

I installed a hitch on my 9/19 build and saw the plug too. Pulled it down enough so that I won't have to pull the bumper to get to it. Is it usable now or do we need to wait for towing to be enabled on US models?

I just installed my Eco Hitch today and found a connector that might be for trailer lights. My 3 was built 3 weeks ago and has the removable panel for the hitch.

This is just in front of the wheel well where the underbody shield meets the frame. Looks like there should be a fastener there? Missing on both sides. There is a bolt about 10” inboard of this. Anyone else missing this fastener or not? Two week old car.

Thanks DeepRed, I like the thought of putting a small battery in the trunk vs. running a wire northward. I don't tow frequently and happen to have a small battery on hand. And, nice boat! I have an O'day Daysailer.

I'm giving myself a few months to find right one and maybe the prices will come down a few k in the meantime. Are the CPOs that have been listed for months to be avoided, maybe having been rejected by a buyer or two? Is there a sweet spot for time on market?
