It was in-door parking structure and I was back-in to the parking spot against wall. The screen promoted me to use Auto-park function so I pressed "Start" button, which my first time ever to try this function. The auto-park function initially did very well to line up the lot but failed to brake...

It moved a bit faster than we normally park and the wall is quite close to the back side of the parking space. When I realized the car wasn't going to stop I stepped on the brake but it was already too late. It costs $5000 to have all damage parts replaced and labor.

It was moving straight line backward and lined up with the parking lot perfectly by itself. I left hands off the steering wheel and no touch to the pedals. The only issue is that it didn't stop by itself and I wasn't able to react quickly to step on the brake before it hit the wall.

Not a chance for wrong day/time. I reported it right after the incident happened with time. When they told me what they found, the time/day was correct. They just simply lied to me.

They definitely got the logs of how the incident happened and why it didn't stop with sensors detected wall.

They just said I didn't have auto-park engaged and it was all on manual control. It's totally BS. BTW, the ground was flat and in-door parking structure.

The incident happened about two months ago and Tesla has been very reluctant to reply my inquiries. I'm very surprised that the engineering guys lied.
