Yep when it is cold outside without battery conditioning car acts like it is set to chill mode. Sometimes feels like worse than chill mode until battery temperatures are optimal after about 15 mins of freeway driving.

Yes it is the wrap that causes the problem esp. in cold. My wrap expands around rubber in cold weather which causes air pockets and sensor not to work. When temp is warmer works fine.

Try AC ON, it removes it in a minute. That's the only solution as heat ON or defrost action doesn't help.

Problem is the vinyl that was installed. On a warm day it works and also works I use heat gun on the sensor wrap and push it in a bit. Once cold it stops working again.
