Wheels to replace the 20" OEMs

Where have you all learned the basics about the different aspects of wheels and tires? I'm totally clueless about how things like width and weight factor in. Have a P3D+ and looking to replace wheels with something that gives longer tire life and better efficiency. I'm not going on the track or...

Recommendation for 18" tires for P3D

I read somewhere that the P3D can't use 18" wheels because the larger brake calipers won't fit. I'd love to be wrong, though... please share what you find out.

    CA HOV Stickers

Has anyone gotten a purple sticker, who took delivery in November? I've been seeing purple stickers out there but so far every one of them has had a DEC registration sticker. Wondering if NOV people are stuck with red. I'll find out soon enough but the suspense is killing me.

    Anti-Tesla/EV road rage experiences?

I call it "butthurt syndrome." It's interesting to see which models of cars tend to be offenders. The theory is they are butthurt for having bought the wrong car. Contrary to my user name, I don't alway drive fast. But I notice when other cars start doing insecure type posturing around me...

API and option codes -- how accurate?

I tried the API by writing a script following the example at timdorr/tesla-api and got back the option codes for my Model 3. A lot of the codes have unknown values right now. But a couple that are known, according to that web site, are DV2W and DV4W, which mean Model 3 Rear Wheel Drive and Model...

Stay in car or Eat/shop while supercharging?

You lost me at "supposed to." Really? There are rules about how we are supposed to spend our own personal time at a supercharger? I don't think so. The businesses that host them may reap some small benefits but they are also helping transition the world to sustainable energy, so there is that...

Stay in car or Eat/shop while supercharging?

Which message is this replying to? I'm really interested in getting a home charger soon so wondering if what you are saying is encouraging of that, or not. Can't tell because I don't know what you were responding to.

Chrome damage caused by closing door after window failure to lower when cold

I was driving the car. I was sitting inside the car, driving. Why would I preheat in this scenario? (The car was warm inside... I keep the climate set on 70F). When I stopped driving, parked, and tried to open the door to get out, the door opened. There seemed to be no problem. There was no...

Chrome damage caused by closing door after window failure to lower when cold

The window was frozen and did not lower, as I said. After I learned about this issue I started pre-heating, but not before. You shouldn't need to preheat your car to open and close the door.

Chrome damage caused by closing door after window failure to lower when cold

Driving in cold weather for the first time. Window (unbeknownst to me) froze to rubber gasket at bottom edge of window. When I opened the door, it seemed to open normally, but later I was to learn that the window did not lower... again unbeknownst to me at the time. When I went to close the...
