Matrix Headlight Calibration Number of Clicks

Has anyone who's got a 2022 MYP with Matrix headlights from Fremont know the number of clicks from factory to all the way down (or up)? I got recalibration mixed up with reset to level when it actually recalibrates to the current position. I lost count of the clicks. While I find time and space...

    Matrix Headlights Brightness Issue

Replacing Front Drive Unit Clevis (motor) Mount

Sorry for the late reply as I'm only seeing this now. I got it done last September and am a little over 18,000mi since with no shudder. The way I checked the clevis was raising the ride height to Highest, turning the wheel all the way left. This gave me enough room to stick my phone inside...

Anybody install an Ohmmu battery in their X? Looking for feedback.

Ohmmu replied back with the wheel config reset and it cleared the error. I keep on forgetting about this method and it seems like a deeper cycle than powering off. You can hear loud clicks that I assume are physically disconnecting something.

Anybody install an Ohmmu battery in their X? Looking for feedback.

I just got the same message this morning. My 12V is 4mo with 4,000 miles on it. I reached out to Ohmmu so we'll see what they say. So your update came after the message?

Replacing Front Drive Unit Clevis (motor) Mount

I had mine done with the half shafts and although it was mentioned in the notes that the clevis was changed, the part number wasn't listed. I looked myself and it was the old clevis. I sent them pictures and they changed it out. Apart from the squared flanges (new) they look the same, even...

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

There are a couple of alternatives, but they don't have complete sets like N2itive: https://unpluggedperformance.com/product/billet-adjustable-rear-camber-arm-tesla-model-s-model-x/ https://www.macsboost.com/product/macsboost-tesla-s-x-camber-arm/

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

Yes, I imagine if you floor it enough that it can damage the motors.

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

I had an E90 325i stripper and yes, they'll crucify you over there. The half shaft ball races into the motor wear unevenly causing the shudder. The clevis mount is what helps alleviate motor vibration. I haven't read anything on mechanical failure. I have friends with a 2016 and 2017 that...

    Raven Half Shaft Replacement

I have over 10,000 miles on the new half shafts and clevis for my 2016 P90D and no shudder. I've noticed that pre Raven, especially 2016, seems to be fixed. I can only think that it's due to the small drive unit as compared to large drive unit on the Ravens.

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

Update version 2021.44.30.8 from a few weeks ago gave me a bug where Automatic Lowering was set to Never, but was lowering itself from Standard to Low by location (freeway). I did this for a few hundred miles and reported the bug a few times. Last week's update (version 2022.4.5) has fixed the...

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

Thanks for sharing! Any reason you chose them over Unplugged Performance? I'm guessing because they have an entire kit, but just curious: Unplugged Performance Adjustable Rear Camber Arms - Tesla Model S & X

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

Since this week's update (version 2021.44.30.8), Automatic Lowering Speed set to NEVER will lower itself to Low from Standard when accelerating onto the freeway. It'll remain that way until I exit which at that point it'll raise itself back to Standard. I'm only noticing it now since I felt it...

News for Model X owners with the dreaded shudder

Right, which I thought was weird that they said that since bulletins and recalls are different.

News for Model X owners with the dreaded shudder

I had the May 2021 bulletin done on my 2016 X P90D at Santa Clara CA service under warranty. If not warranty then their test drive of flooring it on Very High on Insane Mode would've qualified it for the bulletin. I've put on 5,100 miles on Standard since and no shudder. I haven't floored it...

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

What about the intensity of the shudder itself when it came back? Was it the same as it was or did it gradually get worse?
  18. Aaron14902

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

For those of you who've had the shudder come back, did it progressively worsen over time or did it come back as if it never left?

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

I have a May 2016 X P90D currently at 68.4K miles with the fix done at 64.1K miles. No shudder so far. I haven't floored it, however. It's said that the refresh has a completely new drive train so I'd be curious to see what people report back with. I wished it was like this from the factory...

The shudder problem: Current status (end of February 2020)

I've put 2,866 miles on the new half shafts and 870 miles on the new clevis; so far so good. Clevis was updated per the notes, but part number wasn't listed. I looked myself and saw it was the old clevis. I brought it up and they replaced it with the new clevis hence the difference in miles...

    Strange Issue Driving Straight

I had a similar experience on my 2016 P90D, but not as severe. Before I knew Autosteer was on, I felt like the car was turning for me (which it was). Turning it off helped, but the suspension still wandered. I noticed my steering wheel was off centered so I took it into service and despite...

    Trading in 2018 Model 3 LR AWD for 2016 Model X P90D...

If you're able to see the service history then I suppose you can look at what's wrong and decide whether or not you're willing to deal with it. From what little I've read, the common issues are the presenting door handles not working and the cracked front suspension links like the X. All three...

I did almost the exact same thing a month ago, but for a seven seater direct from Tesla. We're expecting our third child and although they could all fit in the back of the 3, it was just too tight. I lose out on range, hardware (i.e. cameras), simplistic interior, tight handling, and snappy...

Just ordered a preowned model X!

Congratulations! I recently traded in a 2018 Model 3 Dual Motor Long Range for a 2016 Model X P90D 7 seater direct from Tesla. Like you, the X was over budget at the time in 2018 and we only had two kids anyway (third on the way!). We were very lucky that it came in such great condition and...

Congratulations on the new Performance! I prefer the Uberturbines, especially after seeing them in person on the Y and in Gray. I actually just got 2020 20" Performance Grays put on my 2018 Dual Motor and love them. If I didn't just get these and were local to you then I'd do a trade. If the...

glass roof - production change (July 2018)?

I can't see any of the taillight assembly from the inside, but good to know about the rubber. The front headliner was damaged during the glass installation so they're going to fix the taillight along with that. I also got the car back with a door chip on the edge, but it doesn't look like...

glass roof - production change (July 2018)?

I have a 12/18/2018 build and had my half orange rear glass replaced with black last Friday at Santa Clara, CA service. I noticed that I can now see the rear window brake light from inside the car and I don’t recall it being like that. I’m guessing it wasn’t installed correctly, but I wanted...

Feedback from BMW or other premium brand converts?

I came from an E90 (2006 325i stripper) to a LR AWD (last December build). I got tired of maintaining the E90 so I wanted an EV primarily for low maintenance. I actually didn't know what I was getting into with the Model 3 until I test drove a RWD at Santana Row here in Santa Clara, CA. I had...

Question for M3 white interior owners

I haven't noticed any reflection. I wasn't sure about the color in general at first. I don't know if it was the finish or not being used to a white strip, but now I love it. I wished the center console was was white and in the same material.
