I don't get this - why are you opening the app at all? Just "walk away"

This would be great. I also want: - Change lanes only to follow route for FSD beta.

How to turn off the automatic navigation to work and home?

I have the opposite problem... Only about 2 days a week does it actually autonav for me to work. Even though I leave at the same time every day. This seems like the easiest algorithm in the world, but I've been a Model 3 owner for 4 years and it's never worked reliably

FSD Owners - Do any of you prefer leaving it off?

Freeway - I use it every drive City Streets - almost never, maybe if stop-n-go and I have a many blocks to drive without any turns needed. I couldn't give a crap about automatic driving on city streets - I just want freeway to be rock-solid and nag-free. Totally willing to pay attention, not...

    Summons Possessed by Demons

Maybe that's OP's issue. They tried to give their car a summons rather than using the summon feature.

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

I just want to know when the 11.4.x folks will get the UI features from the current branch

Yeah - I mean choosing the correct lane appears to be the largest computing challenge of our time.

Please explain how Automatic Emergency Braking is invoked

It's explained in the owner's manual here. Specifically, relevant answer to your questions: and: So per your OP, you were "inching up" and therefore AEB is not applicable in that scenario.

I looking forward to (non-FSD) feature parity with the main channel...

Does anyone know what this connector is for?

The whole point is the connector is currently UNUSED. OP is asking what might plug in there.

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

I'm kinda in that boat as well. The city-streets driving is neat and all, but what I want it on-ramp to off-ramp with no touch. I'd even settle for L2 with no nags.
  14. H

Anybody know a way to kill\lessen the upgrade nags?

Dude. Drama much? You literally chose to stick with like the crappies version as well.

Anybody know a way to kill\lessen the upgrade nags?

Part of owning a tesla is getting software updates. Although, I have yet to hear of it happening to anyone, tesla states that they can void your warranty if you don't do the updates (New Vehicle Limited Warranty p9): Even if you never connect to wifi, they will eventually push software over...

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

My experience (been driving FSD since the beta pram started, and I use it daily) and never had a strike.... until a month ago. I forgot my sunglasses on a pretty long multi-hour freeway drive in the desert in SoCal. I put FSD-beta on like I always do. The sun was super-bright and I was...

So why hundreds of thousands of Tesla buyers are OK paying for features and not getting them except, at best, much much later?

For cars sold after they removed the ultrasonic sensors (6-months-ish ago?), autopark is disabled until they are able to offer the feature based on vison only. In the most recent FSD beta release, they have seemingly enabled auto-park based on vision only. However, this is only if you are on...

    FSD 11.3.2 on the Highway

I assume you mean - traffic-based lane changes, not changing lanes to take an exit... I find it much better in the 4 commutes I have had so far. You get three choices: chill, average, and assertive. That selection controls both follow distance and how often it changes lanes for traffic...

Is hope in sight for our USS-less cars?

Well yes, at some point. When? who knows. This v11 release of FSD that was to be "single stack" was stated to be "next month" by Elon well over a year ago. So set expectations accordingly At some point it should be like it used to be before the FSD beta program. The software is the same...

    FSD 11.3.2 on the Highway

Sorta. In the autopilot settings screen, at the top, you get a selection of "autopilot features" with a choice of "Traffic-Aware Cruise Control", "Autosteer (beta)", and "Full Self Driving (beta)" So it seems that the only way have a nav destination set and NOT use "Navigate on Autopilot"...
  22. H

    FSD 11.3.2 on the Highway

doesn't appear to be. You get your choice of "chill, average, assertive" - the right scroll now selects between those three. Chill = larger distance, less lane changes and Assertive = closer distance, more lane changes.
  23. H

Is hope in sight for our USS-less cars?

If i had to guess the distance feature for non-USS cars requires some of the neural nets developed for FSD beta. So it probably won't come to non-FSD cars until the FSD-beta is included in all builds and everyone just gets the same build regardless of FSD or not.
  24. H

    FSD 11.3.2 on the Highway

I didn't notice anything markedly different. However, if you have lane change confirmations set to "off" then the car will just signal and change - no more tug of the wheel

    FSD 11.3.2 on the Highway

Installed this morning and I agree with this - @dansev you should not worry.

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

It appears from how you replied to me and @swedge that the issue is that they named it "Autopilot" and that it's Tesla's fault that people try to use something they don't know how to use (or understand how it works). Do I have that correct? So in summary: 1980's - people expected to be...

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

Here's something I don't get: 1980 - I set cruise control, not pay attention, and plow into the back of firetruck: I'm an idiot. 2023 - I set autopilot, not pay attention, and plow into he back of a firetruck: The guy who owns the company that made my car should be public flogged in the town...

    Dash cam files

when you honk it only saves the "most recent 10 minutes". It's explained in the User's Manual here. In my experience, it will keep recording even after honk for about a minute, but not more than that. Anytime there is an incident I want to save, I make sure to honk or press the dashcam icon...

    I just got an FSD offer… :)

I wonder what the use-rate is for homelink. I know many people who have homelink in their cars and yet they still have the door opener clipped to the visor because they don't know they have it or don't know how to use it.

It is is you ALSO subscribe to Apple Music. Then you get your own unavailable tunes as well
  31. H

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

to be fair, "update coming in Jan" on that tweet could mean anything. Update on when we might be able to remove the nags. Update on Tesla's thinking. Update meaning just any new information on it, etc. I also believe his tweet about v11 had a 'wiggle' word in there like 'about two weeks' or...

    I just got an FSD offer… :)

It gets worse. I know a guy who stood in line to put his deposit down back when the M3 was announced, got his M3 in early 2018... a few months ago, I was like why don't you use the phone as a key... he said, "The phone as a what now?" This goes double for auto park, sentry mode, summon, etc.

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

I remember Elon saying like 2018 for possible release :D

I paid full price for this car, why am I forced to deal with so many ads?

Honest question - What ad are you seeing in the menu? I looked at your photo and I see no ads there. Are you referring to the "upgrades" entry at the bottom? I think one of the issues here is that you are mentioning all the ads you see in the car and no one knows what you are referring to.

    Apple Music Sign-in Problem

yes, this should be how it's done. I don't know if it affects your issue though, but in general, treat the "profile" like a personally owned device. So in your wife's profile, sign in to apple music under her appleid, under your profile sign in under yours. In general you want this anyway to...

Can someone help me understand the speed limit settings under the Autopilot tab?

Yes yes This is 'sometimes' in my experience. Hopefully someone has a better grip on when it does and when it doesn't. On my commute there are situations where the limit is 65, then when I am on a transition ramp to a new freeway it's 55, then back up to 65 on the new freeway - it seems to...

FSD Beta - Regaining lost FSD Beta privileges?

Is there still a '5 strikes rule' in 44.30.5? The release notes just say a forced disengagement is a 2 week suspension. Does that really mean it's suspended for two weeks after your 5th strike or after any strike? I've had FSDb for over a year now and never received a strike with nearly daily...

When I bought my module on eBay, it didn't come with a bracket so I zip-tied the module to the same place @Rheckbert3 and @turns2stone did. When I look for the bracket alone on eBay, they are going for $50! Anyone know where I could get a reasonable bracket?

    FSD Overfit to Southern California

Exactly. Everyone thinks the grass is greener. But it's the same FSD everywhere that gets into the wrong lane, tries to 'go around' someone at a stoplight, runs stop signs, stops in traffic circles, tries to turn left from the right land or vice versa, and so on. I live in Los Angeles and I...

    FSD Overfit to Southern California

I can tell you as an LA resident, using FSD is a giant "depends where you drive". Around where I live, it's good if I can get a few blocks between disengagements. It's in the wrong lane for turns almost 50% of the time. It regularly tries to drive in the bike lane, etc. Frustratingly, CA has...

Was I just able to "nudge" an update to my car?

I should have put the /sarcasm tag there... In the early days (c. 2018/19) when the software tab in the car was first added, someone posted that, then a bunch of other people tried it and 'it worked' - the reason being was that when you went to the 'software' tab, it takes about 5 taps worth...

MyQ 30 day trial [How do I use MyQ features?]

It's really meant to be set up to auto-open/close. Hit the car menu, then hit home icon, then settings. There you can set up auto-open, auto-close, and the distance at which you want each. This is all in the Smart Garage Connectivity section of the manual. Under "Auto Opening and Closing"
