I will just add, I called Direct Line today to declare my modifications. No change for adding Arachnid Alloys, but premium increase of £20, plus £200 increase on mandatory excess because of the spoiler. Unreal, but is what it is I guess.

Nice tip. Maybe also worth installing the app on another device that you control (say iPad at home or wifes phone) so you can remote unlock with that also to save making a call?

Any of you guys have a personal premium Spotify account? I have been trying to sign in on my Tesla but it doesnt work, I even tried a factory reset but no change. I have read about people not being able to sign in with the Tesla account, but not this specific issue.

Applies with supplied 3M tape, and yup looks flush. I added some heat to make things abit more flexible then alot of weights to hold it all nicely in place :)

I thought I would share some info on the AeroBon Carbon Fiber spoiler for anyone thinking of getting a spoiler for their Model S. I was looking for one for my newly aquired Tesla Model S, but Tesla want over £1000 for theirs, and I don't like them that much :) I found the AeroBon spoilers...

Sorry to thread high jack, but I also cant login to Spotify so just have to use the Tesla account. What voice commands can be used to play specific music from spotify, vs it just displaying artist on screen then having to click etc, as that seems to defeat using the voice command.

This makes sense, as I heard the new gateway which will support backup will be about £800 or so.

The gateway 2 which is due for release this year in the UK has the backup capability to isolate the house from the grid. These are just becoming available in Australia.

Car is used, but via a dealers so I can't ask the previous owner. Its odd as its such a tight gap I don't see what could possibly attach there.

Hi all, I have recently got my Tesla Model S, and noticed this odd bit of velcro. Anyone know what its for?

Only had my Tesla a few days, but I do find it odd that you can schedule charging start, but not schedule charging stop within the car. I know you can do this artificially but altering the charge percentage, but would nice to say charge from time A to time B.

its not actually that noticeable, if I hadn't read lot of info on the forums I don't think I would have spotted it. I only have a few quirks noted since collecting it, other than that all good so far :)

Good to know, as my pre-owned Model S also has the yellow banding, so was going to add it to a list for when booking in for warranty work.

I only just got my Tesla, but have noticed odd Spotify behaviour. When I get back in the car, it sets the next track to play as one of the "romantic" ones from the fireplace easter egg thing ... its very random. Anyone else had this? @MagicMagicD isnt the yellow banded MCU a warranty swap out?

From the testing I did the AWD is deffo significantly more sure footed in the damp and wet, but I decided to go RWD anyway as never had issues with my BMW's as I just drive sensibly, and went with a better spec vs the additional motor.

The GO Tariff is a 12 month fixed tariff. I moved to the GO Tariff min Jan, so it will change to the new version in mid Jan 2020. This is elec only, gas is not impacted by the Go Tariff.

This is not currently available with the Powerwall 2 in the UK, we need the updated gateway which will enable the islanding of the house so it can be used during a power outage. This is supposed to be out this year, but the price seems to be going up, last I read was its about £800 plus fitting...

I don't believe its discontinued, it just not well advertised. When you sign up to Octopus then you can "move" to the Go Tariff once you got the new smart meter installed. Thats how it worked for me earlier this year.

The Octopus Go Tariff is 5p per kWh off peak, I use this time to charge my Powerwall in the winter months. The peak rate is 13.72p kWh which is also pretty decent.

Anyone know where the mobile / cell antenna is. I never seem to get more than 2 bars LTE signal.

I just got my Tesla Model S, and Direct Line were best for me. They denied giving out the little faraday pouches anymore, but they did give some extra discount for having Auto Pilot.

I did some searching but couldnt find anything, but sorry if this is a duplicate. I am picking up a 2nd Hand Tesla tomorrow from a non Tesla dealer. Wondering if there is a way to factory reset the car to get rid of any previous owner presets, like seat setting, GPS suspension adjustments, etc...

Morning all I have had a look through various forum posts but didn't find any pics of a Midnight Silver Model S with Arachnids, so wondering if anyone has any they can post? I have seen some that are carbon fibre dipped (assume this is non standard) and wondering what they might look like.

In my ongoing search for a used Tesla, I notice that in the later version (post Nov 17 I think) they changed the layout of the rear bench seat. Its moved from what I describe as a flat bench seat, to a more twin bucket with raised centre seat. So wondered from those who have / live with these...

Cheers for feedback so far all. I plan to get the facelift version, so my understanding is the frunk is the same size RWD and AWD on these version, so no advantage there. I appreciate the AWD is slightly faster and slightly better range, but I don't do alot of miles, and sure you might drove it...
