I can think of a lot of things that could be improved in 2 years. Less road noise, “better” battery, upgraded autopilot computer, etc. You asked us to talk you out of it :)

This may be stating the obvious but if your financial situation supports it, you will definitely enjoy the car with more power. If AWD is a stretch financially, then I think you would still be happy with the RWD. there are no “slow” Teslas :D

My car is 6 months old and I have these stations. I just noticed them this week, but I don’t really know when they appeared or if they have been there from the beginning. I have not tried using them yet.

Rather than a test drive, rent one for 2-3 days. That will let you drive it in your “daily” conditions and maybe play around with charging/supercharging. Remember, too that you have a week to return one if/when you end up buying.

is the phone by chance in your back pocket ? I usually approach the car with my phone in hand or front pocket and have no problems. With phone in my back pocket I see the delayed/slow awakenings.

Thanks for the info. I did not buy anything, yet. I was going to order the Ultimat but I could not tell from their layout if it covered the little cubby on the left rear. I was going to call them to verify, but them I got sidetracked. Hopefully I will do it this week.

I have the Performance model and my suggestion is that you do NOT do the trade right now. If you were deciding on the initial purchase and you had the cash, then I think the Performance model is a great deal. Best of luck with whatever you decide !

No problems connecting to 2.4 or 5 GHz on my June 2019 Model 3.

Note that he was referring to a Model S which likely has some slight slight older networking hardware.

I have the same (or close) model router. Every once in a while it can have similar connection issues with other devices, but not the Tesla so far. A reboot or power cycle has always resolved the connection issue. Just FYI

Totally agree on the best AC on Model 3. It’s awesome. FYI - Rear seat vents turn on automatically when someone is in the rear seat.

The glass roof has been a non-issue for me in Phoenix, Arizona summer heat. Before I took delivery I was planning to buy a sunshade for the front roof portion but in real life use it has been fine without.
