    Model S Reservation Tally

Ok, my last post in this thread as I hate seeing that a new post has been added, exciting my inner self, then to my dismay and excitement to look at a new number update, I'm confronted with a random post by someone, which can become annoying. So sorry for being that annoying someone. 1...

    Model S Reservation Tally

I wouldn't expect the production rate to be increased in the first or second year. They need to prove to themselves they can sustain 20,000 cars first before investing in an increase. If they hit the 20k per year for a couple years and still have a large backlog, it'll be increased.

    Model S Reservation Tally

Just based off the spreadsheet I've been keeping I'm seeing more of a 31-33 daily reservation rate. I'm not counting Hong Kong just yet, it seems very sketchy. Just to touch on the production numbers. If Tesla can manage the 5k by the end of the year, they could easily manage 50k next year...

    Model S First Drive Reviews

That's basically what I expected Bonnie. How often would you judge that your odometer and electrical mileage range are in the same ballpark of each other, and how accurate? What I mean is, when your odometer says you have gone 190 miles, does the estimated miles read roughly 10 miles left...

    Model S First Drive Reviews

What I find funny is Matt was basically crying foul because Tesla wouldn't let the media 'test' the range of the Model S. Matt also states "I'm actually less worried about the range (if Tesla/EPA say they hit X miles I'm sure it's possible) than the conditions of battery loss and the ability...

How long are you determined to keep your Model S for?

I'm thinking the individuals that are getting the 160mile version will be limited to 10-15 years. With a battery swap, that would be a non issue.

    $7500 tax credit debate/discussion

Indeed. The 25% of people who are making more than twice the national average could easier afford to buy an EV from Tesla, without the tax credit. It would have been nice to see it scalable to give more money back to individuals who made less money but wanted an EV, while the ones who made...

    $7500 tax credit debate/discussion

I'm all for it helping in any way possible, don't get me wrong. Though I don't believe anyone making more than twice the national average income should be allowed to collect a tax benefit, being that it's an EV and I love EV's I can look the other way .

Jomo25 my logic is spot on. I said, and I quote again, "If you're make enough". Implying you have to make enough to withhold. 7.5k That would be, just a guess, 45k a year? Sorry if the doesn't make sense to you.

So to mitigate the tax issue, one quick remedy is change your W2 if need be, to have 0 dependents. You will receive more cash in your weekly paycheck (or pay less if you own your own business) thereby owing the government more money at the end of the year. You then get to subtract the full...

    Model S Crash Test Ratings

As happy as I am to hear the testing went phenomenal and the Model S will be an exceptionally safe, the real tests won't be completed and published until 2013. Did Elon or Tesla mention or hint at a follow on offering?
