    "Gearbox fluid recommended" warning

Lol I got the quote yesterday but didn't even consider the longer drivetrain warranty until skimming the last page of this thread here. I just asked that (message via the app). I know Tesla typically sends a quote for the full amount of a repair whether it will covered under warranty or not, so...

    "Gearbox fluid recommended" warning

Is there any recent advice on this? My Sept '18 M3LR just started displaying message every few drives. Tesla quoted me $1,500 to fix it when of course my warranty ended in September... 🤬 Couldn't have happened before I brought my car in in August lol. Is it covered by the 8yr drivetrain...

Part number for felt cover on the front-underside of the car?

Thank you! Is it an updated design that it now looks plastic vs mine that's like felt/cardboard? Thanks

Part number for felt cover on the front-underside of the car?

I heard a noise while driving the other day and when I looked under the car I noticed the fabric cover had been damaged and was scraping on the ground. (I have no idea how it happened, I was in bumper to bumper traffic and heard a strange noise initially.) I trimmed it up and zip tied it into...

    Premium Connectivity Yearly Plan $99

I'm not currently subscribed to premium connectivity. When I check the app I only see the $9.99/monthly option with my billing information and a Subscribe button at the bottom. I don't want to pay $10 to sign up for the monthly plan before switching to annual. Is that Subscribe button the final...

Anyone have an experience with a "Rat Mat"/"The grid guard"?

It does and is (expensive). That's why I was hoping for some more feedback lol, but regardless, it seems like it will be extremely effective. My parents are into the idea of it and are ready to buy it. Good question regarding pets. Fortunately, they only have indoor cats, I can't imagine it's...

Anyone have an experience with a "Rat Mat"/"The grid guard"?

My parents are looking into a "rat mat" (an electric "fence"/flooring) after noticing evidence of mice in their Model Y. I googled "keeping mice out of teslas" and found (How To Prevent Rodent Damage To Electric Cars - RatMat And Tesla Case Study — Hammer Technologies Rat Repellent For Cars...

    Heat pump issues fixed?

Thank you for the responses. My parents live in VT where it regularly has been single digits and below-0 fahrenheit. Fortunately, the car is garage kept. Hopefully the issue is settled.

    Heat pump issues fixed?

Are the heat pump issues fixed via a software update? The media obviously made a big deal over the fact they were still an issue this winter after Tesla said they were fixed last year. The latest I read was that it was a priority for Tesla and they were going to release another software update...

Anyone use the Pixel 5 with the OEM wireless charger?

I just wanted to update this thread and say the pixel 5 and the OEM wireless charger work perfectly together. Super easy to drop on the pad in the expected location and it charges without any alignment issues.

Anyone use the Pixel 5 with the OEM wireless charger?

Very helpful thank you, and even makes me lean towards going with the OEM charger on the off chance it has a more accurate picture of where the phone would lay.

Anyone use the Pixel 5 with the OEM wireless charger?

Topic, does it work reliably? I don't have much experience with wireless chargers, but I tried to use PopSocket's PopPower wireless charger and I couldn't get the charger to work reliably due to alignment issues. For anyone with the Pixel 5, is it simple enough to drop it on the pad and have it...

    Swap 8' Gen2 and 18' Gen3 HPWC cables?

Topic. Is this possible to do safely? We have an existing exterior Gen2 HPWC that I bought with an 8' cable and we're installing a new Gen 3 HPWC with a 18' cable tomorrow. Lol I guess due to poor planning before purchasing the shorter cable is all that's necessary inside the garage and and the...

Take Home link module out of a M3 and put it in a MY?

Is this possible? My parents just got a Model Y and have a compatible garage door opener. I don't have a garage. Can we save the $300 on a new one and swap it? Preferably is it possible for me to remove myself? And then they would bring their Y to the service center to have it installed/updated...

Protective stickers for underneath ski rack?

https://www.amazon.com/Scotchgard-Clear-Paint-Protection-60-inches/dp/B004VG8DS0 I ended up getting this 6" wide roll for $20 which should be a lifetime supply and work perfectly! Thanks

Protective stickers for underneath ski rack?

That makes sense and is probably the most economical...good suggestion, thanks!

Protective stickers for underneath ski rack?

Is there any where to get those clear stickers that protect the paint under the legs of the OEM ski rack? Thank you

FSD price is going up... to WHAT PRICE?

Anyway, I pulled the trigger this morning...for the HW3 upgrade and beyond the price was worth it to me... have they started doing HW2 to HW3 upgrades for existing owners? Can I schedule an appointment with my local SC? Thank you

FSD price is going up... to WHAT PRICE?

I assumed 8/16 was the last day of the discount, I would assume it goes back up tomorrow. The discount ending on a Friday makes more sense than ending mid-week on a Thursday...

Tesla Model 3 Roof Rack – J-Bolt securing the rack snapped

My clips just cracked tonight during a *touchless* car wash... I guess the difference between ambient clips and water temperatures did it. One I heard crack during the wash, the second while I was out in the parking lot drying the car. Next thing I know the rack comes off in my hands...

Tesla Model 3 Roof Rack – J-Bolt securing the rack snapped

whoops, I guess I can't edit my posts yet. Anyway just installed my rack yesterday...did not torque it to specs, just tightened it up by hand using the "small end" of the allen wrench for leverage. A little disconcerting cracking sounds, but nothing too bad... The rack seems very secure.

I was thinking the same thing until I thought saw the stickers...Hopefully Tesla or an entrepreneur on Amazon sells replacement stickers...
