Plugzin, I like your idea about the seat sensors and multiple beeps. So now we have to get Tesla to write it into their code. devilmountain, the PIN idea is a good idea until Tesla finds a better way, though it doesn't protect the phone and other valuables from being stolen.

Does anyone know of a way the 3's software can be set up to warn you when you forget your phone in the car. I do that too often and it scares me to think that I will someday find my car missing for just that reason.

A software difference may be what it takes, though I think it's more likely the head unit doesn't have the power or the channels to drive the unused speakers. Those speakers aren't very expensive when purchase in the large quantities Tesla buys, so it may suit Tesla's needs to limit the number...
