Limited data only had the vehicle briefly, before it went to detailer for ceramic coating. Get it back tomorrow. Tessie shows 190-200 wh/km. Sorry for the different units. Imperial measurements long gone from 🇨🇦
I took delivery of Fremont built 2024 Y RWD last week in 🇨🇦
LFP batteries
Matrix headlights
No UWB key.
Don’t know how to check for structural castings, but I believe I have them in the rear and not in the front. Is it as simple as looking underneath with the flashlight?
Tessie shows battery...
Just a quick tape measurement from the rear lip, to the back of the drivers seat is all we need to get a person to go Tesla rather than Hyundai. Thanks
Friend looking at purchase of model Y. They go on long ski trips and pack a lot of stuff. Illinois to Ophir, Colorado (1363 miles). Needs to know internal cargo dimensions with seats folded down depth and width, to determine if all their stuff will fit. Any related suggestions or experience...
Radar is quite different. Lidar is optical, and reflects light of the plastic bag or tires surface, knowing only that the surface is there. Radar reflects a signal based on the electrical dielectric and density of the object. It will not see the plastic bag, as the microwave pulse will not...
Not true. Radar is a microwave pulse, Lidar is optical, and has the same fail modes as cameras. Hence no redundancy. Vision radar, or fine cloud radar is much more robust.
I think the rewrite will bring enhanced L2. Elon has suggested the Dojo will be needed to tune it, and that is a year away. This will happen about the time HW4 arrives. I believe at this time they will also enhance the radar. The number of points an automotive radar can see, has been...
Just tested in my SR+.
Unfortunately the Canadian version is limited to the posted speed limit, or about 20% below the flow of traffic in my area.
I like the enhanced screen indication of the traffic light colors. they really glow now. You can acknowledge that you want to proceed through the...
Two outstanding issues as I understand it.
1) How are the employees getting to work, and dealing with the risk of transit and busses.
2) Tesla had a plan with common procedures at all it’s facilities. County officials wanted something specific to only this location.
I have the impression...
I use two JuiceBox Pro 40, off one 240 VAC 40 AMP feed with 2 14-50 outlets. They load share quite nicely for two EVs. One TM3 and one Nissan Leaf. A third 15 amp outlet off the same feed supplies a built in electric 240 VAC pressure washer.
So you went from the 2020.8 stream of updates, to the 2020.12 stream. These two seemed to be running in parallel for a while.
Hopefully this suggests they are now merging.
It’s not just up to Tesla. Local government, property owners and utilities are all involved. Roadblocks can come up from any of those. They have many target areas, where they just can’t resolve things with those third parties and a way that makes sense and is fiscally responsible.
Got the...
It still seems to be hidden on Plug share with the wrong connector type.

Just South of 401 on Wellington, across from Costco.

There never has been a vehicle manufacturer that provides so many new features, and other updates, as fast as Tesla. My experience since last June has been steady improvement. At this rate there will be some bugs, and regressions, but they seem to fix them pretty quick.
I wonder if it is a...
So you have an empty outlet box that you will need to have wired from the nearby panel. Outlet can be 14-50 (stove) or 6-50 (dryer) type. This gets used with a 40 amp double breaker in the panel.
About 40 minutes for me. I have 150M internet connection, but the limit is probably server capacity and internet traffic. I have read there is also a navigation update, maybe you got both? Though I thought the map update was only for 2020.12
Also coming from 4.1 to 8.2 after a HW3 upgrade.
Will now get to see more than cones.
I think it will be a major milestone once we get to the point where it stops at lights and stop signs.
8.2 downloading for me now, SR+, with HW3, & FSD, so we know that version is still going out, but very small % of the fleet so far. I was upgraded to HW3, I wonder if that plays a role?
My two planned trips to London now cancelled because of covid 19. Hopefully contractors will continue working, as it is pretty safe outdoors, and they will be back up soon.
I have not seen any documents on this. I got this information from a Tesla, presentation I attended. This new generation of SC are made in their Buffalo Giga factory, which will be giving a talk and tours on April 20th, if not cancelled because of covid 19 virus. So there could be more info at...
They are very nice. Better than Weather Tech in my opinion. Some people like Tuxmat.
They are all laser measured, high sides, protective mats, that are easy to clean. If you buy mats from Tesla, they are made by Weather Tech.
Model S/3/X 3D MaxPider Replacement Badges
They seem to have moved from Etsy to Shopify.
They look to be done by some type of low volume molding, with embedded pin or screws. Tesla logo is recessed, and filled with paint or epoxy. Mine standing up well for about a year.
Taptes and others sell...
Still cannot see the utility transformer in that picture. Probably green and not white. Would be interesting to see a shot of the label if it is there, to see if they got at least 1 MW.
Thanks, MarcoRP, I found the link:

Did not see a way to update plug type, but submitted a note for them to review.
The utility was supposed to be there last week, so must be getting pretty close. I will be in London in about 2 weeks, hope I can use this one rather than Woodstock.
Once the utility connects them, I assume Tesla still needs to commission and test.
Can somebody post a current picture?
Unfortunately? Sounds like a smart move to me. My observation is that the majority of Tesla owners in the local club, use Apple. That’s why a great app like this is Apple only.
It is for iPhone and iPad. Just search for Tesla in the App Store.
To get the reminder, the car must be at its home location, be unplugged, and have a low battery.
This release takes the new visualizations global. So certainly very significant for the rest of the world.
Keep in mind there is a major rewrite underway to optimize for HW3, and move labeling to 3D video based from single frame analysis. This upgrade will bring updates much faster, as the NN...
Yes, took most of the day. They gave me a loaner.
They put your car in service mode, but you get a notification on the app saying software updates are complete, when it’s done.
Happy I got it done now that 2020.8.1 is rolling out, with full visualizations for Canada.
Regular gas stations are now adding super chargers. As the shift continues, they will add more. I read about one station that now has only chargers, and no gas pumps. Overtime this should help.
