Oh boy, I hope I can get pre-approved locked in before lenders update today. I was waiting until I had my VIN but am worried I'll get stuck with 6%+ now based on what I'm reading here. A long ways from the 2.35% I got on my M3 back in 2020
I'd get it at $1,000 MAYBE $2,000 but not anything more. FSD and a EAP are all grossly overpriced and always have been.
In other news, absolutely no movement on my EDD in well over a month now, despite escalations and assurances from the senior operations manager for my area that it should be...
How many people are still months out from their EDD? Spoke with Tesla rep at my SC yesterday and he tells me they are currently expecting to have my car leave the factory at the end of August (MYLR, MSM, No hitch, 5 Row, 19s). Brutal wait. Oh and I'm in the Toronto area.
Oh I hear that. At one point my EDD was Sept 26 - Nov 28, well over a year from OD. THEN it went right from that to May 16 - May 29 and when I was 9 days out from the early leg of that window, I got moved again to the now current Aug - Sept EDD.
I emailed my SA and he said he'd send a note to the Logistics/Planning team at the factory to see if it can be expedited. I'm unsure if this made a difference or even if that team has seen his note as it's possible this is all a coincidence. I'm also fully aware this can all revert again...
Maybe things are turning around.
My OD for my MYLR is 10/29 and last week I complained about having an EDD of Sept 28 - Nov 23. A few days ago it moved up to August - Sept and this morning is now May 17 - May 29. That's a significant jump and means I'm now within a 14 day window (on the early...
I've been tempted to do that quite a few times but the price jumps since my order in October are enough ($8k total) for me to suck it up and wait. In other news, my time did move from Sept 28 - Nov 23 to now August 14 - Sept 25. Still MUCH later than most MYLR orders from Oct but progress I suppose
I feel very skeptical of that but will certainly take it.
Emailed SA and he said he's escalate so we'll see what comes of it but he thinks it could be a few weeks before we hear anything.
I'm curious, has anyone with an order date near mine have EDDs anywhere as far out as what I'm showing? I'm getting kinda concerned that something may have happened to push my order much further back than others.
MYLR | MSM | No Hitch | 5 Seater | 19'' | No-Trade-In | Oakville Delivery Center...
Getting pretty dejected. Haven't touched my order, no trade-in, nothing.
10/29 OD - MYLR, MSM, No hitch, No FSD, 5 seater, Ontario
Current EDD is now Sept 28 - Nov 23
I don't know if I can really go a whole year waiting for this.
I ordered in October with an original EDD of "June". It briefly moved into May before being pushed back now to Aug - Sept. I'd place little stock in the accuracy of that date range outside of "you're not getting it tomorrow". It's not a dig at Tesla but chip shortages screwed lots up but now...
Not sure I believe that much anymore. My OD was 10/29 and current EDD is into September. Haven't changed a thing on my order, haven't had any real interactions with Tesla aside from the occasional email to my SA. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised to see an October EDD.
Checked with my SA this morning and he confirmed all new deliveries (MY) are coming with the ryzen chip and new batteries. This is from an Oakville rep.
Kinda hurts to see similar delivery times when my OD is 10/29 :(
Although what hurts most is my tires are just about fully shot and need replacing. Trying to hold on as long as I can but I definitely can't wait until Sept to replace them. May? I think so.
Same. I briefly got updated from June to a day in March but that lasted all of two days and went back to June. Today, I'm now showing an EDD of May 11 - June 8 with my 10/29 OD.
Given the rumored changes in MY such as double-paned rear glass and maybe even a new CPU or even matrix headlights, I'm actually thinking waiting a few months might not be such a bad thing. I guess that's the bright side of having a 10/29 OD with a June EDD.
Did you get the premium connectivity and supercharging because of the minor issues you found with the car? Did you just ask the SA? Did you have to escalate to a manager?
OD: 10/29

Initial delivery date showed June up until this weekend when it moved to March - April. Checking this morning and it's back to June again.
I saw CNET's recent review of the 2021 MY where the tagline reads "The Tesla Model Y seems like the complete package, but its active safety suite is so fundamentally flawed that the whole dish is completely ruined."
Among the issues listed, the author didn't like the lack of a heads up display...
This is interesting. I sat in the GV80 at the auto show 2 years ago (pre-covid) and found it to be extremely comfortable and thought it competed with the likes of Mercedes in terms of luxury features. An all-electric version certainly raises my interest and I'll keep my eye on it but honestly...

My timing really sucked as I had already done a test drive with the wife before ordering and she was debating getting an ICE when the price went up $4k. Put in the order a few days after. Also it seemed every few days the EDD pushed back another...
No changes to price or paint here in Canada yet. I wonder if we're going to get this increase as well considering the $4k increase just a few weeks ago
Thanks. I wasn’t planning on swapping anything i currently have but rather buying new rims and tires for winter usage that I can use on both vehicles. Is that not possible?
I currently have a 3 with a Y on order but he Y won’t come before winter ends, so i want a set of winters that will fit on both vehicles to avoid having to purchase two sets. What size profile will fit both vehicles? I assume 19s but unsure is stock Y sizing will fit on a 3.
I won't even remotely consider FSD until autopilot and even TACC can work 100% of the time without phantom breaking and random speed limit reductions. It's such a basic function that's the foundation for the rest of the functions in FSD. I got mild whiplash about 2 weeks ago from the car...
I was thinking of upgrading my interior lights with these but I'm concerned that the front driver/passenger brightness may be very distracting at night when driving. Has anyone purchased these, or something similar and can confirm? The door and trunk lights definitely look useful and a big...
