I wouldn't worry too much. I changed delivery locations and the old one was showing from an old match and wasn't updated until I matched to a new car AND got delivery scheduled. I guess I live here now. I upgraded my order from MR to LR because MR doesn't exist anymore. I made the switch yesterday and got assigned a 2019 VIN yesterday. Now I'm waiting for delivery scheduled, but it seems my car is "in transit" and will arrive to the delivery center supposedly on Monday...

I just got off the phone. I'm getting upgraded to the long range, getting my paint choice for free (midnight silver), and getting a free upgrade of wheels to the 19". I'll have to pay $1500 ($3000 for MR-> LR - $1500 I already paid for the paint, which is now free).

So it looks like they're comping your paint at $1500 and wheels at $1500 and making you pay basically nothing? It seems like their approach is to upgrade you from MR -> LR for $3k, less any extras you paid on top of a black car with 18" aeros. It seems like they're able to comp paints and...

$1k because you already paid $2k for white paint, which they are now comping and making you pay the $1k difference? This is encouraging!

Did they call you to upgrade or did you ask to upgrade from MR to LR? Did you pay the full $3k difference or work a deal?

Called today and they said I can either go SR+ or wait. I can wait for either the bosses to allow a deal on a LR, wait for a match through the VIN system, or wait for some other magic.

If you return it, you are very unlikely to get another mid range. They seem to be out of them coast to coast. I have an order but can't match to a vin. My sales guy is trying to get me a discount on a LR.
