O’Briens were able to patch up ours. Will see how long it holds.

    Broken Windscreen

How much did people pay for Model S windscreen replacement in the end? Just had ours crack and it is Saturday - would love to know how much are we up for..

State based EV road user charge (Overturned 18/10/23)

I will start voting Labour if this goes ahead in NSW.

Didn’t know about REZ. Such a good idea, no wonder so many proposals already.

Upgraded to AP for $2900. Previously was $4500. Waiting for a good deal on FSD now :)

    Looking at Model X 75D - Syd-New range question

209 Wh/km 2019 Model S 75D over 20k ODO. Driving everyday like it’s stolen with a massive smile on my face. It used to be under 200 pre C19 since we did more open road trips and city driving sees consumption in 300s. But I win every set of lights by a long margin

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

I got 2020.16 yesterday as well and anecdotally the car visuals looked a little better. Could be just my eyes.

Has anyone successfully mounted their car?

Pretty sure Tesla does outbound VPN tunnel and that’s it.
  11. F

    Premium Connectivity - Included?

You should be able to see Free Unlimited connectivity in the Tesla portal as well. I originally got a $10 email from Tesla but lools like the fixed it for my Model S delivered in March 2019.

    EV number plate triangle!

Had the same. I think I push front panel sideways (sliding motion) and 4 clips just poped out/fell on the ground after. They are pretty tough so doubt you will break it or else try removing one at a time.

    Speed limit detection problems

AP1 uses MobileEye technology which is patented. Pretty much everyone else on the market pays them ransom but Elon refused and advancing the good cause!

    Fingers crossed, but...

Btw, you can get a PDF version from Tesla’s portal and open in on an iPad or worst case print out..

    Fingers crossed, but...

I never looked at the manual, it was all just so intuitive :) I recommend to watch various review videos and Easter eggs on YouTube and you will quickly find that everything is very familiar. Also being in the car while it charges gives plenty of opportunity to learn the GUI. Don’t be afraid to...

    Nice work Veda.

How good are Tesla’s in Australia’s extreme heat?

I always have ours on auto and the only thing I change is temp (using right steering wheel) depending on how I’m dressed. I did the exact same thing in every other car. Best aircon by far was in my 2011 IS250. Could be something to do with how small the interior of the car was.
  18. F

How good are Tesla’s in Australia’s extreme heat?

Was driving in 50 degree heat yesterday and car was doing just fine.

Wailing wall for Australian Model 3 team VINLess!

So is there anyone left from the original reservation holders still waiting for TM3? It seems like there are plenty of inventory cars now and they got this thing under control.

    100% charged display km

Kids sometimes get car sick on longer trips and don’t with the chill mode on.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Cameras need some time for calibration.

Is the 3 as buggy as the S or better?

When I first got the S earlier this year, I would reboot occasionally. I forgot last time I rebooted in the last think 5 months. V10 has been very stable for me.
  23. F

Would you, could you drive a ICE again?

Our second car (a new gen Volvo) is not bad on buttons and UI but god it is pathetic in corners and slow. The whole stop/start engine shutdown thing is just so last century.

Test Drive & Buying model 3

Aim to purchase at the end of Q1 2020. I got a very good offer on inventory car which didn’t show up on the website. Some model S cars were as low as $108k (I paid a bit more and could save if waited a bit longer) It was an unusual quarter though as demand collapsed due to no reduction in...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I should have said missing the service from Lexus dealership. Otherwise car is so awesome, there is no going back to petrol.

Anyone bought a "raven" Model S in Australia?

I’m pretty sure this is due to a next to useless, single reverse light. From memory it is just two LEDs. If there is enough light, camera is fine.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Mine was fairly normal during Q1 rush for an S. Roughly on par with what you’d get with a German premium car. Service however is another thing altogether. Missing my Lexus :(

    park button not working

I have also fiddles with so options on that page where full power off option is related to parking brake. I can’t remember exactly but worth trying applying break from that screen?
  34. F

    park button not working

In fact in my case the drive selection stalk wouldn’t change from P to D or R at all. Was very weird.
  35. F

    park button not working

I had this issue. Full power off fixed it. The one where you are in the car for 5 minutes waiting for it to do the full reboot without any movements :)

    Who’s got V10 in Aus?

Getting 32.12.1 as I type this. Side question, any recommendation for SSD for sentry mode? My flash usb disk turns out to be too slow for the new 4 camera recording and car is complaining.

Anyone bought a "raven" Model S in Australia?

So envy, I’m waiting on a raven inventory deal.. maybe Q1 2020.. oh well, going to continue to enjoy my 75D meantime. Also sounds like your interior is exactly the same as my 2019 version and the main difference is drivetrain and the suspension.
  39. F

    Who’s got V10 in Aus?

    No FSD on mine.

    Who’s got V10 in Aus?

3 phase or single phase WC supply better?

Anyone in Sydney Norwest want to try 3 phase and chat about the setup - let me know via PM. My S can do 3 x 24A and voltage only goes down slightly to 246 from 248.

Anyone bought a "raven" Model S in Australia?

-the headrest seems not to be adjustable? -lumbar support is not adjustable Pretty sure both are adjustable. I also couldn’t figure out on the drive back home after pick up. Turns out there some additional buttons on the side of the seat which were hard to find without looking. Once pressed you...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Have seen a Red performance today around Hyde park and going to domain in Sydney. Must be one of test drive vehicles with a “BAR” rego.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Once Tesla has enough cars for the actual inventory, they will get published along with the VIN. There is no inventory as such as it looks likes cars can get moved from one state to another. Also sales comp is probably related to how many each state is required to sell e.g. sales quota.
