    Battery depletion in winter

Sorry for the late reply. My original comment is on page 3 with a screenshot of a 5% efficiency drive. Turok's theory is correct because it was a rare case of me not preheating the car. Teslafi must have a bug that could tack on range loss from a full night of sleeping to your next drive in...

    Battery depletion in winter

I'm taking quite a hit to my efficiency, but I was expecting that due to lack of regen braking, preheating, driving with the heat on, and short drives. My best month was 91% and in December I had 58%. I did find something rather shocking today when I looked at my Teslafi. I don't know if...

Go Ahead -- Grade my Vanity Plate Idea

Hahaha sounds like something I would do. I just wouldn't be able to keep up with you in my SR+. - Guy with no vanity plate

Go Ahead -- Grade my Vanity Plate Idea

Oh wow, I didn't notice your location when I commented before, yes that is very close! I work on Wolf rd. and see a few M3s from time to time. Haven't seen S1LENT yet though.

    Finish Protection? Hands Down, Ceramic!

Today is the 2 week mark after I got my car back from getting the front end PPF and ceramic coating. He said to let it be for 2 weeks and not touch the paint for any reason. I got the PPF to help prevent rock chips, and the ceramic coating to help keep it clean. The stuff is amazing...

Go Ahead -- Grade my Vanity Plate Idea

Long time player here, but I'm afraid to admit I didn't get it until I read your explanation. I've seen 3 used as an E before, but for some reason my brain couldn't put it together after 10-15 seconds. Maybe it's me. I feel like I'm pretty poor at deciphering vanity plates sometime

Is the model 3 too common now?

Still pretty rare in the Albany area. I drive about 25 minutes per day and it's about a 50/50 chance I see any model Tesla. When I do, there are typically 50+ and don't even look my way. I am seeing more Model 3s now that the SR has come out, but not as many as I expected by now.

Friend Removed j1772 Cable with Adapter Still Attached and Couldn't Drive

Thanks Dave, I'll replicate this and see I can locate the "lock" icon. Sounds like we missed it.

Friend Removed j1772 Cable with Adapter Still Attached and Couldn't Drive

That was the first thing she tried, but pushing the button on the monitor didn't release the adapter.

Friend Removed j1772 Cable with Adapter Still Attached and Couldn't Drive

I was running late so I sent my girlfriend to pickup my car that was charging at a public ChargePoint station about 10 minute walk away. I gave her the key to the car but not the ChargePoint card. Up to this point, she had only seen me charge the car and had never actually done it herself...

Geico Ramps Up Model 3 Collision Premium

Yeah that seems very high. I also have Geico and a clean record, but my $500 deductible costs me $236 per 6/months.

Partial Premium Doesn't Come With Ambient Lights?

Reported Curb71 for improper use of the disagree button. I don't think that's what they are for buddy. Maybe you should try to not be so butthurt and to try and develop some emotional intelligence?

Partial Premium Doesn't Come With Ambient Lights?

Perhaps I'm new here, but is it common for some members of this community to disagree with everything you post? Someone's feelings are hurt I think...

Partial Premium Doesn't Come With Ambient Lights?

If someone with a Premium wanted to show me the location of the door bin lights, I can check to see if there are bulbs

Partial Premium Doesn't Come With Ambient Lights?

@Curb71 You knew you weren't getting footwell lights, yet you considered buying aftermarket replacements? This type of mis-information may be confusing to new readers, so let me make it clear that SR+ doesn't come with ambient lights (door bin lights & footwell lights) and Tesla has yet to...

Partial Premium Doesn't Come With Ambient Lights?

I have a SR+ and I don't see any lights in the door bin, but I do have all 4 working puddle lights.

    Warning about Taptes wireless charger

Yes, mine also took several weeks to arrive, but that was nothing compared to the other issues I experienced: 1) My phone constantly falls off the charging pad into the center console. The size of the lip isn't very big. I think the Nomad would have been a better choice for my Note 8 with a...

Partial Premium Doesn't Come With Ambient Lights?

Where did you see this? The ordering page I used from the Tesla website still doesn't have it listed (Design Your Model 3 | Tesla)

Partial Premium Doesn't Come With Ambient Lights?

My SR+ trunk has lights. I also have a light inside my center console and puddle lights, but no Ambient Light button on my screen. To my knowledge, the Ambient lights you get with the premium interior will illuminate the footwell and the door's side pocket. I remember watching a youtube...

    Model 3: Turn Signals... ARGH!

Ohh, It's because I didn't specific say it was a SR+? I thought that mentioning the partial premium upgrade made it obvious....

    Model 3: Turn Signals... ARGH!

I'm not sure why you ask or what you're getting at. I have a Standard Range Model 3 with Partial Premium Interior and my car was built somewhere between Feb-March according to the VIN. Mobile service is coming today to repair the problem I noticed with my left turn signal.

Partial Premium Doesn't Come With Ambient Lights?

I believe that's correct thanks to Jerick's experiment. It's not a situation where we have unplugged bulbs or bulbs that purposely don't work. Looks like it's just a software thing. It would be nice if you could activate features like this a la carte.

Partial Premium Doesn't Come With Ambient Lights?

I understand this. I'm okay with the differences in trims and the pricing. My issue is the lack of transparency when I'm trying to make a decision. I was on the fence between Partial Premium and Premium. Had I known that the Partial Premium didn't have the Ambient Lighting or Floor Mats, I...

Partial Premium Doesn't Come With Ambient Lights?

Not sure why this isn't listed on their website when you compare options between the premium and partial premium packages, Ambient Lights isn't mentioned and I am pretty disappointing they are not included with my Partial Premium interior. Has anyone got aftermarket footwell lighting installed...

    Paint Issues during delivery

The detailer I took it too said he's been wrapping/coating a lot of Teslas lately and they all have rough paint. I don't think the OP made the right decision by rejecting the car. The next one will probably also need work. If Tesla is willing to reimburse you for the detailing, take it to...

    Paint Issues during delivery

I declined washing and detailing before delivery so this was most likely done during the installation/delivery process. The delivery specialist I spoke said that I would have gotten the car in perfect condition if I didn't decline the detailing. I doubt they would have done a full 2 step...

    Paint Issues during delivery

I took delivery of a model 3 at Mount Kisco, NY last Friday and received the car full of scratches. Here is a shot of the worst part. On the upside, they said they would reimburse me for the paint correction.

    Model 3: Turn Signals... ARGH!

Picked up my Model 3 Standard Range 2 days ago and I'm having the same problem. This is not something I will be able to get used to. Service appointment setup. Hopefully they can send a mobile unit out to my place because I'm not happy to drive 2+ hours to the nearest service center.
