    App draining iPhone battery?

BROKEN AGAIN, even with Background App Refresh off. This worked for awhile. Yesterday I turned off some location services for a number of apps to help improve my overall security after reading this Wired Magazine article - How the Pentagon Learned to Use Targeted Ads to Find Its Targets—and...

Max wattage of the rear cigarette plug?

Manual now says: "NOTE: For vehicles manufactured after approximately November 2021, power inverters plugged into the low voltage power socket must support 16V DC input to function." At a higher voltage, some things will draw more current than expected.

    Charge Stats Still Missing

This fixed it for me and I didn't have to wait, it just started working in minutes: I turned all of the permission on. Later I'll test to see if it's any one of the permissions in particular, as I prefer not to be sharing my driving experience with Tesla.... But now that I can use this...

    Nervous Nelly [FSD Complaint]

For the record, I do NOT want Tesla to be sued over this. I love the Teslas we have. We need Tesla to help save the climate. I just want this issue addressed so its not a safety issue. How am I suppose to encourage other people to buy a Tesla, when this problem continues to be really...

    Nervous Nelly [FSD Complaint]

While this 'always done it this way' thinking might apply to some people, I don't feel this applies to me at all. I'm constantly pushing the envelope, and people who know me have said that I'm a bigger, better, faster kind of guy. But safety IMHO is important. It's ok to improve something...

    Nervous Nelly [FSD Complaint]

I'm hearing that more automated is important to you. But how can you say this in general? Are there not a number of competing 'design philosopy's, including: all electric, safer, fast, powerful, simpler, more automated, fun to drive, top of the line, stylish, affordable, reliable, practical...

    Nervous Nelly [FSD Complaint]

Thank you for the suggestion. However, the unexpected sudden braking started before I was towing. Towing only makes unexpected sudden braking much more dangerous. I don't think it's possible for the Tesla to know just how slick the road is. Sometimes I even have to find a safe place to...

Please don't call anyone names. I paid $65k for my Y. We own 2 Teslas and a Nissan Leaf. I also have an order for a CT. I'm also the founder of the Bridgeport Racing Club - Racing to save the Climate, and we show electric cars in a float for the longest running 4th of July parade in the...

Thank you, but I'm not interested in help and if I want your advise I'll ask for it. No one on this forum can fix this issue, unless they happen to be a Tesla software engineer or Elon. But I think it's important to report unsafe software. If something does happen to me, at least my family...

Because of it's utter stupidity I've decided to rename my Y: Nervous Nelly. The next step will be to sell it. In cruse control (aka: whatever they call it) it drives like a stupid child with bad eyesight. I can't even count the number of times it's braked for no reason. It is only a...

    AC relay for car charger?

I suppose the other option, is to just wait for Tesla to fix this TOU (Time of Usage) management issue, as they really must at some point, if only because other car vendors will also fix it. (I guess I'm just getting impatient with this, as I think Tesla should have fixed this important issue...

    AC relay for car charger?

Interesting. I like it but... How do we deal with key privacy? Are we going to be giving our car keys to them? Is that a good idea? Do we just 'trust' them? Why is it that this is free? What do they get out of the deal? Humm? Maybe I'm just an old kodger, but I'm not so hot on...

    AC relay for car charger?

Was planning ahead, as future vehicles might draw more. There is a J1772 version that draws more I think. Yes if I don't take the software approach, I'm looking at going that way. There are a number of different bi-stable relays I've found. None I'm in love with just yet because they all are...

    AC relay for car charger?

I'm looking for suggestions for a good power relay to buy to help limit when our cars can charge. Basically I'm looking for at least a 240V / 60A relay that can be switched with low voltage, like 12V. It will hook between our 50A electric service panel breaker and our NEMA 14-50 220V car...

    Should Tesla buy First Solar?

I think First Solar has a great product: Much better cadmium telluride solar panel technology; i.e. cheaper and better. Trouble is they don't seem to have the business sense to capitalize on it. Their stock price just took another huge dive it seems because they missed a financial target. This...

Any problems or challenges in having two Model 3's in the same household?

Thanks, but someone above already said as much, but the Q remains, how was this setup if you recall? Perhaps once delivery gets closer, this will just magically happen, or there is some other mechanism that I'm not seeing to get this done. I hear you that this works. My Q is how to set it up?

The perfect Model 3 emergency jack?

I just rotated the tires w/ 1 AL sissor jack, and one floor jack to lift up one side at a time. Works fine. I got my AL scissor jack off ebay. It was a used porche jack. I had to grind the nub off the top a bit to fit the Tesla hole when I first got it.

    Scheduled charging vs Scheduled Departure

I think someone at Tesla really needs to take a look at these 'features' because they are poorly documented, don't do what you want, and really could be much better.

Was the glass break intentional? (EDIT: No it wasn't)

I think it was a brilliant marketing tactic, to get publicity! This clearly demonstrates that this is a man toy. We're not interested in a pretty little sports car here, my gal already has a M3. I want a mean, tough truck. And I think throwing a steel ball at the window was just the sort of...

That's just supposition on your part. I'm a safe driver. Just asking for 0-60, i.e. ordinary highway speeds; in other words, I wasn't requesting this with a 1 in front of the 6, which I might also then agree with you. Also this probably should be disabled when in chill mode, as it's not...
