    HW3 improving regular AP?

I just took delivery of a 2021 M3LR. This is my first Tesla with HW3 (previously had 2016 model x and 2019 model 3). I did not purchase FSD with my new 3, but the regular highway AP felt smoother to me than my other older Teslas. Is that normal? Does HW2.5 and HW3 run different AP on...

Ordering the Performance Model without the upgrade

Anything would be better than nothing. But $2-3k cheaper would be good. What made stealth M3 a great deal is that it was only $2k more than the LR AWD M3. And it’s pretty much a performance version without the wheels, brakes, lowering spring, and spoiler.

Ordering the Performance Model without the upgrade

By not opting for the performance upgrade options, shouldn’t it be cheaper? I am all for the smaller wheels for better efficiency, longer tire life, and more comfort, but there should be some saving by not getting the larger wheels, bigger brakes, and spoiler.

Anybody noticing phone as key not working as reliably lately?

It seems like there’s been a few occasions lately the door hasn’t unlocked when I tried to open it and I had to get the phone out of my pocket and wave it around before it unlocks. My wife has had to use the key card a few times too. We’ve had the same phones, so it shouldn’t be because of...

Does this mean this car can’t be keyed?

Right, the keys would have to be made of out something harder than the cold-rolled steel to scratch the body right?

Tesla model 3 finger Ring key?

Does that mean you'll need to take the ring off and put it in the key card spot when you drive too?...

Is there anything on the Mach-E that you liked BETTER than your Tesla?

Actually, I'll add one to the list. The foot-activated read liftgate is a nice feature. Would any of the Mach-E features sway you to buy one instead of a Model Y?

Is there anything on the Mach-E that you liked BETTER than your Tesla?

It seems like for the most part Ford is only matching Tesla specs/features. Is there anything that seems BETTER than Tesla? I am just trying to think why someone would pick Mach-E over Model Y (aside from being a Tesla-hater or Ford-lover). The single dial on the screen seems creative, but...

considering buying a Model 3 SR+ but have no home charging and only 120V at work; have come concerns

I know people that live in condos with no charging options and they just live exclusively off super chargers. No battery issues. And if your commute is so short, you can easily live off 120v. I think you get about 2-3 miles per hour charging. regarding security, Tesla does have sentry mode...

    Where are the used M3s?

Maybe nobody wants to sell their 3’s yet? There isn’t anything to tempt people to upgrade yet (model y not out yet, no change in appearance inside or outside...) More demand than there are supply?

Questions for all of you M3 owners about buying a 3 from a private seller; how to check for EAP, FSD

Hopefully you can take advantage of the situation! A good deal on a stealth P would be pretty awesome.

Questions for all of you M3 owners about buying a 3 from a private seller; how to check for EAP, FSD

I think the earlier builds have a different rear seat? SR and SR+ trims don't have fog lights, but not sure how easy that is to tell. If the car has a satellite map view, then it has premium interior (so it's not a SR or SR+) Performance is the only one with the 20in wheels, but they look...

I’ll try turning off sentry mode tomorrow. Thanks for the ideas everyone. I was just nervous that I had a defective battery or something.

How accurate is your range estimate?

Oops, messed up the mileage completely. It’s 35-40 miles round trip and eating up about 60 miles range. So 40 miles driving plus 11 hours parked with sentry mode gets in the ball park of 60 miles. Not as bad as I was thinking... We are coming from a 2017 BMW i3 and that car tends to UNDER...

How accurate is your range estimate?

Good ideas. Just to answer some of the questions... I live in Los Angeles. It’s not too hot or too cold right now. About low 80s. The 20 miles is round trip, so if there are any range lost due to change in elevation, the round trip should even it out. At work, it’s parked in an underground...

How accurate is your range estimate?

We are fairly new SR+ owners. Our 3 has less than a thousand miles so far. Our daily commute is about 15-20 miles but it usually eats up about 60 miles of range. Is this normal? We are not really driving the car hard. Most of the commute is stop and go traffic...

How do you “drive” Auto Pilot on a daily basis?

Do you keep a hand on the wheel at all times? Do you nudge the wheel only when it prompts? How about your feet? Do you hover over the pedals? We just got a Model 3 last week so we are still learning how to “drive” with Auto Pilot. Any tips on using Auto Pilot are welcome. Thanks.

Any AutoPilot competition from other manufacturers?

This is interesting. I've never heard of them. Not sure if I trust a $600 open source product to drive my car... Is it just working off data from one camera too?

Any AutoPilot competition from other manufacturers?
