Did you try setting the App to 80% and then check the car display? Better to be a happy ignorant. LOL. Why would you spend your precious time replying to this post if it's not to try it?

The point of this post is that 60, 70 or 80% on the car's display is wrong since in fact it's 61, 71 and 81%. At least on a subset of cars.

Set the car to kms and see how moving slider on the App always show increments of 5kms. Do the maths.

Not really. The app snaps every 1%. It's not that difficult to set it to 80% exactly. Really. Try it. Then you check on the car display and it's clearly below 80%.

Che Chemistry is the same for the App and for the car display. What I'm saying is that the 80% on the car is not the same as the 80% on the App.

Let me EDIT the first post. When setting in the App to 70% or 80% you can see it is set BELOW 70% or 80% in the car display. Could you just check? Does not happen with 90%.

I have described a fact that can be easily tested. I set it to 80% and charges to 81%. I set the car to 80% in the App and then go check where is the charging line in the App and it's under 80%.

That's not completely correct. In fact, on X and S you can choose between "Rated" and "Typical" and "Typical" shows less range than "Rated". "Rated" is based on "EPA" but "Typical" is more realistic. Also, go to google images and see how many cars show "Rated" instead of "Typical": Google Image...
