Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Sorry folks, this is exactly what I was worried about a week ago. We are still at a large lack of testing kits in our health system which means that the infected numbers will continue to rise. I predict production will be shut off for at least a month. Invest accordingly.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

A physician's perspective and what I'm worried about for TSLA. We got an email from our health system today that they started large scale testing for Covid-19 just yesterday. They are only testing those individuals that are symptomatic but also who don't test positive for other viruses like flu...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I'm not shorting. I bought my TSLA shares on the date of the IPO and had a reservation for the Model S 2 years prior to the IPO. My initial investment has paid for both my Model S, my Model 3, and soon the new Roadster. I believe in TSLA long term, but the point I'm trying to entertain is that...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Questions about Q1 deliveries and why I feel they may be lower than expected. I have a feeling that TSLA may report lower than expected Q1 car deliveries. First I don't know what the "expected number" is, but given that Elon has stated that their goal is well over 500K deliveries for this year...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

This is fairly simple. If you want to protect your gains, buy some puts against your shares. It's just like insurance. The longer out the puts are the more expensive they are so the bigger premium you will have to pay. This will protect your gains and still give you more profits if the stock...

Model 3 Phone Charge Cable Swap Thread

I had the same issue until I watched the video. You need to slide the lower portion to the left to unsnap it which I didn't realize initially.

I keep wavering back and forth between a Model S and Model 3

I'm an owner that previously drove a Model S P85 for 5 years and currently have a Model 3. Overall, I like the Model 3 better, but for me it is about size. I like the smaller size of the 3 better for me than the S. If you prefer a larger car you should go with the CPO S. Everything else is...

Non Owner - Just Placed my Order

I think Tesla has some technical glitch with sending notification emails that your reservation is ready to be configured. I'm a previous Tesla owner and already have my Model 3 (love it BTW), but I never received an email from Tesla that my car was ready to configure. I wasn't checking my...

No blindspot warning on Model 3?

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Autopilot is available for me to use at present (I've driven 100 miles), but do the adjacent lanes and cars in them show up later with more calibration? Does anyone who has had the car for a while have an answer for this?

No blindspot warning on Model 3?

I just took delivery of my Model 3 yesterday and absolutely love the car. For reference I've driven a Model S P85 for the past 5 years. But I'm not used to the autopilot and not sure how it's supposed to work and am looking for some answers to a couple of questions. First, is there no...

Not sure if this is true. I wanted to listen CNN or CNBC this morning - no go. If I wanted to listen to a live football game (like on sirius) how do I do this?
  12. kishdude

    Sirius XM

Before you give anyone false hopes, from what I can see, Tesla has NO intention of EVER having satellite radio in the Model 3 and I'm not sure that the hardware is there so it can't be fixed with a software update. If someone knows definitively, please tell us.

Tesla Model 3 First Drive Reviews

Just picked up my Model 3 today vin #6260. Here are my first impressions. For reference, I've had a P85 Model S for the past 5 years. First of all, I love the car. The build quality is great and I really don't see any build issues. Driving the car, it seems "tighter" than my Model S. I...

    Model 3 Handover Event -- July 28, 2017

Guys, I've been a Tesla fan for years. Mine was one of the first deliveries of the Model S in Arizona because I put down a 5K deposit 2 years before the car was even delivered and I love my model S. And I think the Model 3 is going to be a great car, but WTF, this was one of the worst...

Drive Unit failure symptoms and thresholds for replacement

This is good to know. I'm wondering if the P85 has more failures compared to the 85 or 60. Also, I was one of the first cars delivered in AZ, but do not drive my car "hard" so I'm wondering also if this may be a use related phenomenon that can show up with more miles. The interesting thing...

Drive Unit failure symptoms and thresholds for replacement

So my drive unit on my P85 is being replaced. I have 32K miles on the car and the problem I was having is excessive noise when driving above 75 mph. I've been doing some research on the drive unit problems and it is difficult to get a good idea with no official word from Tesla regarding what...

Negative Camber in the Rear and Expensive Tires

As a follow up, I just got my car back. After they put the new rear tires on, I told the SC to reduce the rear camber to the minimum allowable, and just by looking at the rear wheels, I can definitely notice a difference in the camber - it is much less. Hopefully this will reduce my tire wear...

Negative Camber in the Rear and Expensive Tires

This excessive rear camber is a real issue. My car (P85) has 14,000 miles on it and I had the tires rotated for the first time at 4500 miles. At 9000 miles, during a service visit, Tesla told me that all the tires needed to be replaced due to inner edge wear. I had them replace all 4 tires...

New IOS Supercharger App For Model S

Hey, great app. I'm also an iOS developer and Tesla owner. I have a solution for you for the "know when a car is done charging problem". How about if the owner of the car can log into the app when they start charging and then enter what their current charge level is and/or the expected end...

Doesn't seem like it would be too hard to incorporate as a software update. Some of the features the Model S already has, but some such as hands-free texting would definitely be nice. I hope they decide to do this.

I would agree that a very large percentage are TSLA owners. This does present some interesting points for anyone who wants to short TSLA. Here is my idea. Most TSLA owners are fairly well off financially in order to be able to own a Tesla. If a large percentage of these owners are also TSLA...
