A few weekends ago, I attended a party and I was explaining the feature of the car the capacity of the batteries and stuff.
Then two days later, as I was driving in the "spring" like weather and I was enjoying the consumption being around 190-180, it made me wonder about the recent twitter...
Hi
can anyone recommend an electrician they have personally used to install a 220 outlet in the garage.
i know price differs by location/house/size etc. but i want to get a sense of what you paid if you have done a simple install of a 220 plug. i can only draw 24 amps so an outlet is enough...

My plan is to DIY install a Tesla Wall Connector AND apply for the 50% Ontario rebate.
The rebate is worded such that an Ontario Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) inspection(s) seems to be required (of which I can get a 50% rebate on as well).
I plan on a 60 amp circuit breaker, 6 gauge wire...
Can anyone in the Toronto area recommend a good place to get paint protective film (PPF) installed. My model S is three months old and I am terrified what the winters and road salt are going to do to my paint. Any suggestions appreciated.
I guess most of people definitely drove enough kilometers on ON-401
How's your experience when driving Tesla?
I am NOT an aggressive driver but I am reducing Auto Steer usage on 401 in order to drive safely.
People driving on 401 are stupid.
They cut lane in front of you and AP isnt act...

Saw a friend recently posted this into our group chat. Not sure if it’s going to be a new Supercharger or destination charging spot.
It’s located at P1 of Yorkdale Mall Holt Renfrew Parking lot.

So effectively, 20% tax on vehicles above 125k, 25% on 150k+
Up from 15% on 57k+
Do any Tesla owners that chose white regret their decision in wintery Canada? I've never owned a white car, but some friends are trying to convince me away from white because it shows dirt so easily. I'm in Vancouver.
I own an 2015 Nissan Leaf SL, and looking forward to getting my Model3? (this summer? god bless).
Anyone else out there in Canada? Let's share our desperate ...
Anyone has already switched from another EV to S or X? I like know your experience on trading in vs private sale.
Thanks..
Hi all,
I'm currently moving out of my condo where I had a tesla charger installed into the associated parking spot. I was looking to rent (possibly sell) the condo and wondered if anyone here would know of anyone who would be interested.
Obviously, the main reason of posting here is because...
Can someone recommend a company that has experience window tinting a Model S in the Durham region or Eastern Toronto? Also, what type of film do you recommend?
Thanks in advance.
Mark
A bit of history:
I've had my classic Model S 60 for almost four years now (VIN P33xxx) with a bit more than 100,000km. It was a great ride overall and a very practical one, to say the least (a sedan with 7 seats! It doesn't get better than that)
Of course, I've had my share of issues, with some...
I’m looking to purchase a 2CH dashcam for my Model S (most likely the BlackVue 750 as suggested by many users on the forum).
That said, I’m a little hesitant to install it myself. I live in Ottawa, but would be willing to travel a little bit to have it installed. Does anyone in the region have...
I have a Nessan leaf, so I have EV charger 32A 6.6Kw J1722 at my garage (with a 60A cable connected from my basement panel). With recent good news on Canadian delivery on Model 3, I start to think which will be my charge options:
1) Don't do anything, the Tesla shall come with the converter, so...
Hey Everyone,
Just posting an idea for those of us who don't like/ want the glossy piano black on the middle console.
The picture below is from a 2018 Mercedes C300 Wagon and the finish is called "Dark Ash Wood".
I personally think this would look great in the Model 3 (I know.. to each their...
21" Silver Arachnid Wheels came with referral program For Sale. I'm willing to deliver it to anywhere in Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Shipping would be a pain if you are outside of GTA.
Asking: $3,500 CAD
I got my wheels in silver color from the service center today. I don't think I was ever asked to choose the color online. The link from the email only asked me which service center I want the the wheels to be shipped to.
I saw many posts showing 3 color options: silver, grey, and black. Did I...
Electric Vehicle Charging Stations - Procurement Fleet and Property
The chargers should be online in 2 weeks, contrarily to what the County’s website says, which is that they are already live: no they are not. There is still a tarp covering all of them. Anyway, there...
Anyone else worried about the lack of Superchargers on this popular route? I'm one of the many waiting for the Model 3, but only see a handful of chargers in Kingston which would be the easiest place to stop. They are going to need dozens of these to keep long distance travel feasible in a...
trying to get the 6-15 plug in toronto...will anyone sell me theirs if they are not using it? im in the west end, but cant meet up quickly to get it ...
Hello all,
Long time viewer, first time poster, just want to thank you all for making the wait a little easier with all your photos and information over the last just about two years now!
Let me preface this with I have no new information, just a unique sighting and another positive opinion on...
just realized I cannot summon the car out of the garage via phone app unless I near the car
And I cannot summon the car via key fob
Canadian regulation ?! Or Ontario issue?!
Let's get some pics in this thread of the daily mob of people at the Tesla exhibit at the Toronto Auto Show!
Rumour is the Model 3 will be there and should be the talk of the show!
Does anyone else find that with all the snow and slush that they spend a fair bit of time clearing out the wheel wells? I forgot it this morning before leaving and lowered the car from the highest setting to normal and had to raise it again for the cacophony of noises coming from them. They were...
A very long story in today's G&M on EVs. The story has suprisingly little mention of Teslas, other than some inaccuracies regarding SCs. It focuses more on the incumbent manufacturers and talks more about the Bolt, Leaf, etc.
It's a fairly realistic appraisal of the situation but seems a bit...
I'm looking for a reputable company in the GTA to do a full chrome delete on my car. If you can point me in the right direction please chime in.
Thanks,

Hi all,
We Canadians are waiting, with a combination of great patience and immense frustration, for our chance to configure our own cars now on reservation. A few days ago the Victoria EV Club brought a Model 3 up from the USA for us to look at, and I've made a couple of videos which are on my...
Up until the earnings call today all my account indicated was ‘Late 2018’. Now shows 3 options. I think Dual Motor AWD is incorrectly showing Mid 2018. Should be Mid 2019.
Hello all,
I am counting down the days to March 8, 2018 when I receive my 2015 Model S 70D from the CPO Tesla inventory. Cheers to everyone in the community.
Picked up a loaner Friday from Mississauga and they gave me a P90D with summer tires.
I barely made it home last night in the snow and I'm afraid to drive it today in the snow. I appreciate Tesla giving us loaners but please, INSTALL WINTER TIRES on them! Geez!
Recent photos of this location show some construction here at the Administration Complex at Pearson International Airport. They say that they are installing curbs to separate the chargers from the rest of the lot as well as 12 piers. Does anyone what exactly they are doing? There is a portapotty...
Just got FW 2018.4.1 ec044c8 in both my S and X today, and was pleasantly surprised to find Canadian French as a new language option (as well as PSI units for TPMS and memory heated steering wheel).
This has been a sore spot for many francophone Tesla owners here in Quebec.
Better late than...
Hi all, I am going to the Lawrence SC for service soon just wondering if I would get a Tesla loaner car. Last few times I went there, I got a Cadillac cts. What loaner car did they give you?
p.s. I am going there to fix my door, not an annual service. If it makes any difference.
Some people just don't get it! I guess some owners are just plain too lazy to park properly while charging. LOL!
Spotted at the Pickering charger today!
This is starting to get ridiculous. Markham has been under construction for 98 days and Etobicoke for 76. What's going on??? Both sites seem to be complete. Markham has looked complete for a long time now with Etobicoke now looking complete for the past 2 weeks.
So, I have decided on where to powder coat my 19" OEM Slipstreams and I am going with.. Quy's Coating
I had a long chat with Quy and he convinced me he is the right guy for the job. My only concern is that he does not removed the tires from the rims, he told me to have my mechanic do it.
So...
Hi guys,
I have a 2014 Model S 60, coil suspension, 120k km on it now, had 12k kms when I bought it. (was a service loaner)
Brought it in the other day as it's riding pretty rough when going over even small or medium bumps, but it's fine on a smooth road, no pull, no vibration.
Tesla says...
Hi All, Unfortunately I have to use a body shop for my new S75D. I have gotten quotes from the two Tesla Authorized shops in Toronto. The pricing is about the same so I am wondering if anyone has had experience with either Leons Auto Body or Excellence Auto. Trying to decide which one to go...
