    Door handle protection

I can see the MS door handles are pretty easy to get scratched (by rings or clothing). Are there any options to put a protector (like a film) on them to prevent any scratches? I know you can get them wrapped with Xpel but I was wondering if there were any other simple and cost effective options.

Removing the dash pad... easiest way?

Need to replace the dash pad and need some advice on how. I understand there are screws on each side and also two screws above the instrument cluster after removing the D shaped binacle. Then it’s all clips and I have been able to unclip the front parts enough to swap out the dash trim. I have...

    Cargo vent

Just got my X. Would like input on some features. The vent in the cargo area.....is it s real vent? I see all sorts of wiring behind the cover. Would recirculate use this vent to pull air to the back to keep my dog from freezing in winter? Also, is there anyway to enable the side vents by the...

MX cream interior, what color floor mats?

I have cream interior with bad black factory floor mats. I can’t decide which color to pick Black or tan for all weather floor mats. The sidings are all black on bottom portion of model X so black mats will simply disappear. I would get more of a contrast with tan floor mats but just not sure...

Drivers seat won't move backwards using lever

My friend came over yesterday and was amazed at the car. When it came time for him to drive, he told me he couldn't move the seat back. I said that's odd given you just moved the passenger seat back. We started to test it by creating a new profile, but that still didn't work. It just...

    Can't "Unsee" These Defects...

My wife saw a new 3 at the local supermarket today. Since we have two on order she was naturally excited and took some pictures. Many of the pics I have seen of the 3 exhibit these issues and this car had them as well: 1) A pillar transition and gaps are really bad 2) Door alignment off I am...

Are the B-pillar cameras heated (S/X)?

Yes or no question ...o_O (Reason I ask is because M3 obviously has heating in them, but I’ve seen no conclusive evidence that MS or MX has it. Parts catalog doesn’t say if they’re heated or not.) Pic of heated B-pillar camera in M3...

    Phantom Cabin Heater...

This morning my car seems to have decided to turn the heater on in rather strange fashion. I seldom pre-heat my car in the morning. Today I thought I would as it's the first day I needed to drive in to work after having received the latest firmware that does battery pre-heat, and I thought I'd...

Trim peeling away from car ??

I noticed that the black plastic trim under the front passenger door of my 2016 MX is paling away. Anyone have this happen too ? Of course, I'm planning to take the car in but also wanted to gauge how unusual this is. Also wondering if this is simply a fit and finish issue or something a little...

    FWDs wouldn't open, couldn't override

Has anyone else experienced this situation? With no obstacles anywhere, neither FWD would open, nor would they even respond to manual override (screen or button). Eventually, after driving around a bit, everything resolved. Odd, no? I suspect a software issue.

Model 3 seating can accommodate person 6' 7" (201 cm) tall person

Driver's seat, no problem. Ingress/egress is good. Plenty of head room. Even with a 6' (183 cm) person in the front, the tall person can still fit in the rear seat and not be jammed against the front seat. The only downside seems to be a low bench for the rear seats, which could be...

Model 3 inside/outside LED lighting demo video

In case you wanted to know what every light on the Model 3 LR w' Premium Package looks like: Note: how the lights look on camera may not be entirely representative of how they look to the human eye. The front center console compartments are LED lit, as well as the front door pockets. Very...

    Car Wash Disaster!

Hi everyone, Happy Holidays! I drove my Pearl White MS through the local car wash thinking I was getting a quick wash, only to emerge on the other side a greasy mess. Apparently a hydraulic line inside the carwash tunnel burst and drenched my car with hydraulic fluid. Needless to say it was...

    Voordeur / portier geblokkeerd

Installing seat cover on Model S (May 2017). Does anyone know how to remove the rear seat cushion? Seats are the "Premium" kind. Thanks!

    Grey Turbine Color Code

I have the grey turbines and I love them. I got a set of Arachnids in silver but I want to paint them grey. My local body shop called me up to tell me business was slow and if I had any projects he would give me a discount. I thought this is would be a good time to paint the silver arachnids...

    No Metallic Black for 3?

We stopped by the gallery in Century City today because my wife is trying to decide what color for her 3, and they told us that it has all of the colors of the current Model S. She found the Midnight Silver a little too blue-tinged, so she got herself happy with the black metallic...

    Alcohol OK on Touch Screen?

Hey all it's winter here and that unfortunately means colds. I was told by my delivery person to use the microfiber cloth and nothing else to clean the touch screen. I now have a cold and don't want to spread germs to my family, so am wondering what can I use to disinfect the touch screen...
