    Kangaroos and driverless cars

Recommended Sydney Installers for Dash Cam

Anyone able to recommend a dash cam installer in Sydney for a Model X? I see the Blackvue DR650GW-2CH is pretty popular, and after watching US videos could probably self-install, but I'd prefer to pay someone to do it professionally so the cables get cleanly embedded in the windshield trunking...

    Super charger occupied?

so this might not be new news, but it was to me.. I drove to Artarmon to fill up with electrons today, only to find all supercharger stalls occupied. Charge rates - 3 phase, EVSEs, single & dual chargers

A long way from home, far from Superchargers, off the beaten track, away from or maybe en route to destination chargers, charging can be slow & confusing. We all want to get back on the road as quickly as possible. With regular 10A or even 15A power outlets - at 8 km/h or even 12 km/h or so...

    Winrun R330 tyres

In tossing up between the Conti and Michelins for a P85D I came across the Winrun R330's (Winrun R330 245/35R21 96W Tyres - Buy Online Price $173). I'm mildly curious - does anyone have any experience with these tyres? I suspect it is 'you get what you pay for' but worth asking.

    Tesla powered storage

I charged my car to 90% and left it connected. I need to use my ICE car for a week because of a towing need. Will the car top up in this time? Is there hysteresis? ie does it need to drop SOC before it gets more charge?

Does the 12v Outlet have constant power?

On my trip I'm taking a small fridge plugged into the 12v cigarette lighter and as it will be holding some medication, I was wondering if the outlet is constantly powered.

    3G Connectivity

I'm onto day 6 of my Model X adventure and I must say I am loving every aspect of this vehicle. One thing I have noticed is that I often start the car only to not have any 3G connectivity. After driving for awhile it will connect and for the most part will remain connected for the rest of the...

Planning to go on my first decent length road trip in my Tesla next month. Initially from Portland, Vic. to Bribie Island in Queensland to visit relations, then all going well, venture north to Port Douglas and the Daintree. A common thought would be to take a spare wheel, which I don't...

    Collective noun for Teslas

English has a number of distinctive collective nouns. Eg. A murder of crows or a parliament of owls. I was looking at photos from the recent TMC Australian meet and I realised we need a collective noun for Teslas. I think the answer is obvious. An excess (XS) of Teslas.

    MS P90DL Battery Capacity 2016-2017

There's been some talk of failing batteries and reduced capacity with some P90DL's. So I checked my serial number and capacity difference over the last 12 months at 100% charge. I expect the slight increase from 2016 to 2017 is a result of the slightly warmer temperature? If this is correct...
