I ordered my Model 3 with EAP in November 2018, and took delivery in December, during the downtime while Tesla was trying to figure out how to repackage and price AP. EAP upgrade to FSD cost
i have M3 Dual MotorAWD Long Range Performance (no PUP) EAP purchased 9-26-18 My account page says it will cost 5k to upgrade to FSD Shouldn’t the cost be 2k? And, totally off topic.. Is the rack and pinion the same in all M3, whether or not they are Performance?- Granny’s car

EAP and FSD: is the hardware currently different?
My understanding is that all M3 are installed with the same hardware (at least currently), whether ordered with EAP or FSD or neither. Then EAP or FSD purchased after delivery is just a software mechanism, requiring no new hardware be installed. But a Tesla rep is now telling me that no, when...
