2022 MX LR
My right passenger Falcon wing door is rubbing the paint off. I took the car to sc multiple times and was sent to a body shop once. They tried to adjust the alignment but the issue persisted. Has anyone had the same problem and was able to get it resolved?
Hi
I had an episode opening the falcon wing door in the garage (have done it before hundreds of times with no problem) where it quickly went up and hit the ceiling cracking the glass. I then noticed that on the screen, I did not see the sensors at all (usually I would see the ceiling and door...
The only reason why I dont buy X are FW doors. I saw a videos of rain/snow falling in. Doors are slow. Doors not closing. Doors not opening in winter. Doors hurting kid libs and fingers. Doors hitting people when opening etc. I want to know from owners. Do you like your FW doors?
Hi all,
I just took the delivery today for Model X. Everything was smooth until I drove it home and found the issue of falcon wing door: it fails to close on slope (i.e., my home's drive way). It will sound alarms and says obstacle detected. I will have to press the close button twice...
I had a six-year-old boy riding in one of the mid-row seats today. He was trying to open the FWD next to him when we parked somewhere using the B-pillar control, and it was very unresponsive. The door would open just an inch or so at most and there were lots of beeping noises. I could...

I just had my MX brought to service center for a hairline crack on the upper glass on the falcon wing. There was no visible point of impact anywhere near the crack so I suspect that it could be anything from design, installation or material flaw which I believe should be covered by the car...
Hi Folks,
I picked up a Dec 2018 MX75 recently and am not sure if all the FWD interior sensors are working correctly. The doors have no problem opening, but have closed on our heads a couple of times.
I've found touch sensors along the trim of the door (prevents pinching on fingers), an...
First I want to say that I really like this car. I have 2018 Model X deliver in December. I think acceleration is amazing. I like the seats, the window, the spaciousness and autopilot...although the latter can kill you if you don't pay sharp attention.
The issue I have is the quality. In...
I had a feeling that the FWD sensors either stopped working (a bug in V9) or were made more “confident” with V9.
The FWD never opened to full height previously since it would sense the garage motor (although it could). After v9, I saw that it started opening with full speed and to the full...
Hi.
Does anyone know if it’s possible to disable the interior FWD buttons? I know the child lock function prevents the open button from working, but not the close button.
The reason I ask is that when I’m putting my 3yo into his seat he sometimes reaches forward and presses the close button...
2018 March MX here.
Just got the car back from the SC after 10 days for aa firmware upgrade failure that was traced to the ECU on the FWDs.
Now the passenger side FWD keeps "detecting" a phantom obstacle. Refuses to close unless I use the override.
I don't want to head back to the SC again...
I just watch a video where a Model X crashed in NY and noticed that the Tesla guy manually pushed open the passenger side falcon wing door that was already about 80% opened. Is that something that can be done normally or would that mess up the mechanics of the door? Here is the link to the video...
I took delivery of my MX this week and while going over the car I was told about a new sensor that is now built in to the interior of the Falcon Wing doors. The sensor checks if anyone is present underneath the door prior to closing. I have tested and can confirm that it works.
Before I...
After 4 months of happy driving, one of my doors stop operating. I called the 800 number, but notwitstanding a number of over-the-air resets, they were unable to fix it or stop the annoying alarm that sounded repeatedly while the car was in drive mode. It took Tesla 48 hours to have a ranger...
Recently a Model X involved in an accident caught fire and the passengers were not able to open the falcon wing doors because the power is off. This video is about how to manually open the falcon wing doors.
Please share it as it may save lives... Or subscribe my channel, thanks~
Hello ,
I am a Tesla Model X owner for over a year now. However, after 6 or 7 times repaired on the falcon wing doors, issue still remaining.
Has anyone filed or in process with Lemon Law in Los Angeles area or CA ?
Can you share your experience and how it works out ?
Ps: I scheduled my...
