nag

What does it take to trigger an interior camera nag?

Brand new Model S Dual Motor, trading up from a 2018 Model S 100D. I haven’t had any autopilot nags based on the interior camera yet, and I’m really wondering what the boundaries are. I just got the FSD Beta software update 2023.32.4 (11.4.4) and will drive it tomorrow. I’m guessing the older...

Autopilot Autosteer - what is the true benefit if your hands are semi-always on the wheel?

2015 P85D AP1 I personally like to "drive" so I really don't care for APAS (auto pilot autosteer) and my opinion of it is gimmicky. I do love the TACC (traffic aware cruise control) and how I can keep my distance setting at 7 and the car knows to stays back and adjust cruise speed accordingly...

    Autopilot nags and changing intervals

Hey guys, Is there any rhyme or reason as to why the timeframes between nags intervals. Is there any way to definitely extend time between nags? So far i believe i may subconsciously be applying pressure sometimes more than others. My senario- My interior camera is covered. Driving with hand...

    Autopilot nag bug

Since a couple of weeks my autopilot isn’t working as expected. Usually you get the ‘apply light force’ warning if you’re not holding the wheel, then the blue flashing thing, and eventually the red warning + sound alert. However, I now sometimes get the red warning instantly including the...

Silly Question: How do you "Hold the Wheel" if it's Turning?

OK, maybe you just need to hover the wheel while it spins. But what if you aren't aware of it turning at the exact moment. Like maybe waiting at a light to turn when it proceeds unexpectedly because the driver was staring off. And then you disengage because your hand is on the wheel while it...

The Nag makes driving on Autopilot almost impossible for me...

I am very strongly considering getting one of those devices that disables the nag in the autopilot because I can no longer use it reliably since it was updated to be so frequent. I am a long time Autopilot user. We did an over 5000 mile road trip in our 2015 Model S, I did most of the driving...

    AP nag interval solved

Hey all, Just wanted to let folks know that the nag interval for AP does not appear to be time based. It appears to be distance based. I found the interval to be ~0.5 miles between nags. This accounts for the uneven intervals others have seen when trying to time them as your speed factors...

    FSD & Nags

I assume "to begin FSD" obviously does not equate to "no nags". At the point that a vehicle can be even a little bit autonomous like "here's the parking lot, go find a spot", maybe then the nags might stop for that trip? I'm just trying to better understand how (not when) this might be...

What does "ignore" mean in 8.0?

We seem to be missing a definion of what "ignore" means in 8.0. If I "ignore" three alerts my autopilot gets disabled. But what is the definition of ignore? Does it mean that I don't twitch the wheel in five seconds of the alert appearing? Of the bong sound that gets my attention from the road...
