“LIMIT BY S TTI GS” What does this mean?

The full text is LIMITED BY SETTINGS. V9 tends to drop letters once in a while. You can do a screen reset to remedy this (abeit sometimes for only a short period of time).

Yes but what does "Limited by settings" mean? I encountered this during a road trip last weekend. Range mode was off, and I couldn't find any other settings that could have been related. Turing HVAC off and back on cleared it.

It means you don't have it in full auto. Something in there is in manual like fan speed or recycle.

That message can come up if the system is trying to cool and you have manually turned off the AC, or if you have reduced the fan speed below the flow needed to maintain your desired temperature (heating or cooling). I'm not sure if recirculate can also affect it, but it's a possibility if the ambient air is especially hot or cold.

Odd because first thing I checked was that the system was in auto. But wouldn't be the first time there was a glitch where the MCU was saying something other than what the system was doing.

It happens to me when you have range mode enabled, which will limit maximum HVAC power.
Not sure what it means if you don't- is it reboot-able?
