Using the PowerTools App (iOS), I ran three tests before and after uncorking on my 09/2016 Model S 75D. The testing conditions for both tests were done in the same place, in both directions. The SOC was 92% for both tests. The car was driven for approximately 8 miles uphill prior to running the tests.
BEFORE Uncorking:
0-60, 5.0 sec, 370HP (no wheel slip)
0-60, 5.2 sec, 372HP (no wheel slip)
0-60, 5.0 sec, 370HP (no wheel slip)
AFTER Uncorking:
0-60, 3.7 sec, 466HP (no slippage, this run felt really good!)
0-60, 4.2 sec, 469HP (wheels slipped)
0-60, 4.0 sec, 470HP (wheels slipped)
The difference is not only noticeable from 0-60, but also at highway speeds. The front motor seems to be pulling much harder than before with a more pronounced whine at 65+ MPH. Torque steer is also more noticeable now, although the AWD keeps it in check.
