I open the door, and then a ~360 BPM drumming sound (sounds like 16th-note triplets to this drummer) comes from the dash for about 10 seconds. Like a motor or fan with a rotor tapping something.
This started after my last service that gave me the "infotainment upgrade" that has a terrible flicker/jitter in the driver display panel. The flicker makes it hard to read the display, and spoils some driving enjoyment. The SC is content to give it two weeks instead of making this a priority to correct the problem.
I presume that the process of taking apart a dashboard and putting it back together has risks that some fan or motor doesn't get put back right, and leads to this problem. I'm just curious what system operated for 10 seconds at the outset, then never turns on again.
