100D and 72amp charger upgrade

hello group,

I have a 100D on order and I checked every option available, including the charger upgrade.

Considering that my vehicle had not entered production (set to begin this week) and I am actually not changing my config at all ($500 fee to make changes to order), what are my chances to get Tesla to waive the $1,500 cost that I am being charged currently for the 72amp upgrade?

I would say possibility is low given production scheduled to start this week.

Fair enough, although the 72 amp upgrade is available as a later add on as well. It doesn't have to be installed at original manufacture.

I note that MY car, which has not arrived yet, sells for $116,550, with the 48 amp charger. It's now $1,000 cheaper and includes the 72 amp charger. At least get me my car before you start taking orders for better cars cheaper, please. But I understand that that's business, that that's Tesla, that that's gonna happen, and that I'm going to be very happy when my car arrives anyway.

Same boat as you with mine in production. Was going to email Tesla about it (when I ordered my Model S 3 years ago there was a price drop that they credited me with) until I saw that the 100D price is going up next week...oh well! So it's only $1K cheaper until next week!

Tesla confirms ‘slight price increases’ for 100D/P100D models next week after decreases for lower-end models today

I got emailed with my OA, and she told me that my 100D, which is schedule for Late May - June, will not have the 72 amp charger added for free. She did say that I could add it to the order for $500, but I really don't need it.

My problem is that I already ordered the charger and there's nothing for me to change. I would like to avoid paying the $1500 as it is being included now and my vehicle becomes $1500 more than comparable new 100D
I was in the same situation with my car going into production sometime in May and having ordered the charger for $1,500. Emailed the finance person today and he dropped my configured price by $1,500 per my request to match current pricing.

Good to know. My car is not yet in prod and slated for June delivery. My DS is looking into switching the wheels for the Sonic Carbon and adding (had not selected the option) the now included charger upgrade for 100Ds. As usual with my SC (am already an S owner), their response fast and courteous. Hopeful, I'll be able to pull it off.

Who is the "finance" person? I've been dealing only with Delivery Specialist and Owner Advisors.
Can you confirm they lowered the price for you and who has he authority/did that.

Thanks

But isn't the base price of the 100D higher when it includes the high amp charger at no extra cost?
Not this week. As of Monday 4/17/17 the upgraded charger is included in the MX 100D w/o the previous $1,500 fee AND without an increase to the base price of the MX 100D. However, this coming Monday 4/24/17 the price of the base MX 100D will increase by $1,000. So if anyone is looking for price adjustments to get the upgraded charger at no cost, this is the week to get it done.
