#1113 is now charging at 40 amps

So, I had gotten a quote to put a NEMA 14-50 in the garage for my new Roadster...$715!!!

I ran to Menards and picked up 15' of 6-3 NM-B (with ground), a box, outlet, plate, 50A breaker, some connectors and straps for $75 total...

3 hours and A LOT of caution later (I had never opened my service or sub-panels), I am now charging at 40 amps. Woohoo!

$715? That is a crazy quote. I had mine done for $350. Anyone in the SFBay Area who is looking to get a NEMA 14-50 plug installed, check out Magnolia Electric.
