My Wife's treasured '14 Model S displayed a 12 v battery fault. I considered changing the battery myself with the help of U-tube but ultimately called Tesla. A technician came to the house today and changed the battery in about 40 minutes. Fee was $223. I am quite satisfied.
Heck yes, I just changed mine, cost 160. 2 hours of work. 223 was great deal. My SC said 2 hours labor, 300.
Just had mine changed today, 2015 S 85D, $227 total. Normally would do myself, but didn’t feel that comfortable taking out so much of the frank interior to get at the battery. Tech was done in 20 minutes, said the dual motor was easier. He also said the battery was original. Nice to know since I bought 1.5 years ago without knowing service history
