Hey guys -- I have a device plugged into the 12v port under the armrest. Does anyone know if when the car is parked if it will draw power or shut down the port? Interrupt deep sleep? thanks in advance

It's functionality has changed a few times. I believe currently if sentry is on it will be on all the time. Otherwise I think it turns off went the car goes completely to sleep.

Can you tell me what is special about this socket? How do you turn on and off your radar detecotr?

Sure, click on the Amazon link and you will see a left and right button for each cigarette plug on the top of the plug. I plug the radar detector into one of the cigarette plugs and have the option of keeping it on constantly or turning it on and off when ever i want. Pretty self explanatory if you read the description on the Amazon page.
