Just saw 17.14.23 was released on an AP1 car. Anyone have any updates on what this updates?
My AP2 MX also got it. I am also interested what it can do. Mine is in service until tomorrow.
In the 8.1 thread someone posted that there was nothing new in the release notes: Firmware 8.1
So maybe it just fixes the problem with AP going missing.
No update for my car yet, I hope this update will fix my AP issues after 8.1.
That would be awesome, better than new features actually. My AP and all cruise control functionality is completely dead at the moment.
Interesting, on the ev-fw site the only cars that got this update were in service centers...
I sent my car for service on Saturday and have received this update on Sunday morning. Still haven't gotten it back yet so not sure what this update is regarding.
Yeah, no update for me so far. I just called the service will bring my car in tomorrow.
There's a thread in the S forum about a fix for AIr Conditioning issues... I'm wondering if this is it. Seems like quite a code jump (in number...)!
just received the update (I was on 8.0 after receiving the car 6 days ago)
Does it list any changes made? Often I know it is just saying bug fixes.
Installed the new update 17.14.23 at SC, nothing special on the release notes (same as 17.11.03/10). SC told me they restarted the calibration of the main camera. Right now I still can't use any driver assists functions, just like before the update. SC told me it may need another 1000miles to calibrate the main camera. I picked up my x 100d 8 days ago, Cruise control stopped working from day 1. 130k well spend.
So still no confirmation whether this fixes AP issues? Mine is still broken.
My AP2 model x still has no AP. Did the SC acknowledge that the engineering team is aware of this issue and is working towards a solution? It seems like "camera needs calibration" is an excuse that is being provided by the SC and they have no idea what's going on.
For some reason, this is not being highlighted as much as it should.
No, SC only told me that engineering team said restart camera calibration is recommended. AP is the biggest selling point of tesla, I don't know why takes so long for them to fix this issue.
Also, a complete blackout of communication from the manufacturer other than one notice to one customer that they are "aware of it".
My AP2 MX did not work at all until I took it in for service. Turned out there was a loose connector and my front camera was not working. Now it's working about as well as an AP1 car. So maybe some of you with issues may have a hardware problem.
Did your autopilot working before 8.1?
Did AP work prior to 8.1? My AP was fully functional prior to 8.1. After the update, it stopped working except for only one instance where it did work.
Perhaps a tweet to Elon is required for the engineering team to take this issue seriously?
It is very annoying for Tesla to not provide good communication regarding the matter.
