18% Ceramic Tint front and windshield

Is it legal to have 18% in your state?

No, but it doesn't look that dark.

I recently went to Beach Autosound in Orange County and got my front windshield and windows tinted. Even tho I went with 18% tint to match the rears it still doesn’t look dark and I think that is because of the white interior. Now that summer is here I hope it cools the car.

How much did it cost? Thinking about doing it too. It's way too sunny in So Cal.

Interesting. The tint shop here in Seattle that does most of the Teslas recommended 18% for the fronts to "match" the rears from the outside factoring in the additional light coming in from the windshield. I would imagine they did 18% on the sides and went close to clear for the windshield. Here is mine with 18% on side fronts and no other changes (nothing on windshield). I imagine the fronts would look WAY darker than the rear if I also tinted the windshield.
