19" Wheels Secured + info on an OEM All Season Tire option.

@omarsultan sanity check: back tires and wheels are indeed wider correct? I see that the 19inch kits coming from tsportline have equal size fronts and backs.
The stock setup is indeed staggered (wider in rear). However you can go with a square aftermarket set up to allow rotation and potentially extending tire life some.
I went with the same tires as @omarsultan - the PS4/AS
It is hard to get a good photo that isn’t exaggerated due to perspective, but the 3cm wider is staggering (pun intended) in person.

One quick data point for folks swapping their own tires. With the car in "very high" mode, you have a hair over 7" of ground clearance to work with, so make sure your jack, jack stand adaptor and Tesla lifting pad adaptor will fit within that space.

Omar which jack stands are you using these days? I'm considering a couple of "fancier" options but have not had experience with them.

Thanks Omar, yeah that's one of the two I've been eyeing. Sadly they are a few weeks out from having stock again..
The other ones were JackPoint Jackstands, but those are completely out of stock with no end in sight

Trying to find specs on these tires. Help
As I understand it, they are supposed to be able to handle wet conditions well.
Is this true?
Also, anyone know what the temperature limitations are with these summer tires?
Driving over the i5 pass to CA in November.
Concerned about potential freezing temps and snow.
Delivery specialist told me that Tesla had yet to”approve“ any specific snow chains for the refresh MS with 19s
I have made this trip many times in my 2018 100D with Tesla chains onboard, luckily I never had chains required. Although Freezing temps & snow have occurred on this trip.

Summer tires tend to be problematic when you get into the 40s--the issue is the tread compound starts to get hard and stops being grippy, so wet roads is not the issue, but ambient temperature is. I have done that drive a few times and I would be cautious about making that drive if the ambient temp are gong to be in that range.
Here are the sizes for your tires, maybe consider picking up some all season tires--there are a couple of options on Tire Rack (Continental and Michelin):

Cool -- one thing to remember, if temps are heading south, the actual surface temp of the road is going to be a couple of degrees cooler than the air temp indicated by the car.Thanks,

Just to add another option to this list, I purchased a set of four front OEM 19 wheels (9.5" wide all around) and am going to run a square set of the Vredestein Quatrac, which is a very highly rated A/S that also has the 3PMSF rating for snow.
Is that right? 7" would be great news for me, but the Tesla Owner's Manual says 6.2"

I loved Vredestein Quatrac on my 2020 Model S. I tried to get them for Plaid but was told they won't be a good choice and won't fit my car by a tire shop mechanic. Disappointed!
If you get it to work, please share feedback on them. I wish they'd fit the Plaid staggered setup

How did this work out? Any issues using four of the OEM front 19” wheels all the way around? I want to do this on my 2022 Model S Plaid. Many more winter tire options available in the 255/45R19 size.
