The SC was done not long after lunch, yesterday. I was told I had to bring the car in, and AutoPilot is not an OTA update. Charge $3,000. I feel like I live in a rats nest, of stop and go and it was worth it. I am very impressed with what it does even among the construction dashes I've been through. They have often been weak dots overmarked by others, that stray. I'd say it is remarkable how well the car still interpolates where it is supposed to be. The steering arc adjustments are uncanny, as if it picks a line.

In the twilight of considering 'Ludicrous', picking up AP was an easy call. I can't say there's any reason to expect problems, if other sensor equipped want to go for it.

Hmm. I thought Tesla said they weren't doing any AP hardware retrofits.

3mp_kwh must have the hardware, he just didn't buy the AutoPilot activation at time of purchase.
