In early 2013, I took delivery of a 60kwh Model S and in 2015, I had some battery issues which caused my service center to send my high-voltage battery pack to be remanufactured. In the interim, I was given a 60kwh loaner battery.

After two years, I asked the service center about the status of my original battery. They couldn't locate my original battery to provide a status update, so they replaced it with a new 75kwh battery at no additional charge. They mentioned that since they couldn't find another new or remanufactured 60kwh battery, they installed the 75kwh battery instead, complete with the 75 badging.

So now I've got a 2013 75kwh RWD Model S with 170,000 miles.

I plan on trading or selling the vehicle soon to buy a Model X, and I don't know how (or if) this new battery will affect the value, since most appraisal tools have no option for a 75kwh battery with a '13 Model S. In the meantime, I am very happy with the extra 50 miles of range.
