Most convenient feature is Autopilot.

You will put in your destination and your screen will show you the most efficient route, the optimized Superchargers to stop at along your route and how long you will need to be plugged in to get enough juice to get to the next Supercharger.
Subtle tips will let you know which Superchargers have the most open stalls, and update as you get closer to them. Your car will automatically precondition your battery to receive the fastest charge possible on arrival.
It will also constantly update your estimated time of arrival plus the predicted state of charge you will have when pulling into the Supercharger.

If you run into conditions that might vary your energy usage like cold temps, rain, snow, elevation changes or driving at higher/lower speeds, those displays will also continue to adjust on the run. Really pretty cool and efficient.

You can also choose Navigate on Autopilot mode. Then your car will automatically change lanes along the way and smoothly move from freeway to freeway on and off ramps. (This is a brand new feature, so you will want to be ready to take over steering in case it gets a bit wonky).

Since you are new to your Tesla, you will want to take some time to discover where autopilot works smoothly and where it might be better for you to drive manually. Driving in the center lanes is easiest for it to cruise for miles. If you drive in the far right or far left lanes, it will have many more calculations to make, and sometimes will get confused. Same thing with driving on poorly marked lanes or construction zones.

As you get familiar with it's capabilities you will find cruising or getting stuck in congestion traffic far more relaxing that driving all that way yourself.

You car will be quiet, smooth and very powerful. Handling will be outstanding and you will soon learn how one pedal driving, and letting the car slow down with regenerative braking can be very efficient and relaxing. Learn how to feather your throttle both speeding up and slowing down to make things as comfortable as possible for your passenger.

Sound system is outstanding, the seats comfortable and highly adjustable, steering feedback is pretty good, and the Model S is an outstanding cruiser.

Enjoy the trip. You will arrive at your destination much more refreshed and relaxed than when driving any ICE vehicle.
