So after much debate my laziness finally got the best of me this week and took my Y to the local auto car wash. I had read some horror stories but I figured I would try. And actually it went well. No issues, no scratches just a clean car. The one I went to is where you stay in the car and the track pulls you through. I did notice a very scary sound which was as if the Y was fighting the roller system but it stayed in neutral and I had creep mode set to roll so not sure what was going on unless it was the rim of the wheel rubbing. However upon inspection after the wash, I see no trace of anything on the rim. I will continue to hand wash 90% of the time but its good to know I have this ez option.
