Curious: How does one terminal MC into a load center that's recessed into a finished wall?
Not sure I follow – how would it be any different than any other kind of wire?

You’d need an MC-compliant strain relief at the entrance into the load center. Beyond that, it’s no different than NM or UF wiring – you’d need to get behind the drywall at some point.

The MC classind has to be clamped onto at the panel. For a recessed box that means either cutting access into the drywall or using a "Old Work" adapter. I've not found one of the latter large enough, and figured I'd ask. It appears none exists, so yep, cutting holes in the wall appears to be the deal.
