My son has his learners permit and is driving our X. Already curbed the wheels once and I am sure he will again. If anybody is looking to get rid of their stock 20's I'd love to chat. No hurry as I will let him chew the current ones up.

How bad is it? Can it be repaired? I got minor curb rashes when navigating in narrow parking garages on my summer road trip to SF

Learning with the X?!?! Lucky guy! I had to learn in my moms Buick station wagon.

But seriously, these wheels (I assume you have 22's) are soooo easy to scrape. I scraped mine on day 3, which is why I'm also looking for a set of 20's.

I guess I should say congratulations, you now have a perfectly normal Tesla.

Tesla can often arrange wheel repair at the service center - they did one of mine the other day in 2-3 hours, they have a guy, and it was $200. It wasn't too horrible but now it looks just like new again at least. You can use them or another specialist I'd say.

The crazy thing was Tesla quote $1200 for a new 20" wheel, which is crazy (the SC even said) since a whole new winter wheel/tire/TPMS package installed is like $3800 - odd for sure.

For one wheel? Or is that for a whole set of 4?

I got an email last Friday from Tesla that my 21" referral Black Rims will arrive in about 3 weeks. These are the Referral Award rims for 5 having referrals. I don't think anyone has seen these yet. Assuming they look awesome, I'll be selling my stock 20's.

I have the 20's, but they are easy to scrape as well.

Was quoted by tesla service center 150 a rim no matter how bad rash. A lot cheaper than new rims
