Hi Everyone,

Car is still available. After the experience with the last buyer, I need to state a few things. Car is 34.5k And I’m firm on the price. If you can’t see the deal being given for the condition of the car, I can’t help after that. If you are out of state, you have to arrange shipping etc. I honestly priced this car for a quick sale since I upgraded to an X. So, first person to my door with 34.5k cash gets the car. Thanks for understanding!

Sure,

His first problem was shipping logistics saying no one would pick up this far south of Chicago. Then suddenly he found a shipper and then the next problem was he didn’t feel comfortable paying off the loan and having me sign the title off and fedex the title to him overnight. His lawyer said there was too many loop holes. It was a lot of work trying to make that happen. So now thanks to torq’s suggestion, I’m selling to the first 34.5k that shows up at my door. More pics I just took.

Everyone,

I have 4 people right now wanting to leave a deposit to hold the car. Please understand, I tried that route and it cost me alot of time and energy. I’m going to let the car sell itself. Hopefully you can see the condition through these pictures. I invite those to come check it out. But again first 34.5k owns the car. I’m not trying to offend anyone, I want this to be a quick and pleasant transaction. Thanks again

Recommend a local buyer only, unless you want the car sold out from under you after you buy a plane ticket for morning after next and jump through your tail... neat!

Good luck with your purchase. If anyone else who doesn’t want to jerk me around has a great MS to sell, please feel free to contact me.

OP, good luck.

Cash in hand. Thanks.

I’m sorry you don’t like the terms I plainly laid out. I kept everything transparent saying other buyers were calling their banks. I have been burned once with a buyer saying he wanted me to hold it, his funds were available and yet he pulled out a week and a half later.
As far as plane ticket, really??? We never agreed on anything and I have the texts to prove it. You kept pushing to put a deposit down which I said I’m not holding or taking deposits. I told you another buyer plans on being here tomorrow check in hand and you lost it after that calling me a tool. Attacking my integrity was way out of line.

Many lessons learned

Yep, concur. However, a deal is usually a deal and some sort of honoring of a deal needs to happen or a buyer gets hosed out of plane tickets, etc.

I recommend only a local buyer, that way if time/money is wasted from being sold out from under you or OP’s schedule conflicting, it’ll be minimal impact.

I have no hard feelings and wish OP the best. I’m concerned for the next guy.

I’m not the original buyer who flaked. I’m a cash buyer who’s literally jumped through hoops based on the OPs requests then lack of selling multiple times over the past three days.

It’s all good, I’ve flown out and purchase multiple cars over the years with smiles ear to ear from both parties.

This one just didn’t work out and I truly hope nobody else gets jerked around like I did. OP will surely be cordial if it’s another TMC member.

That’s why I brought it up. Good luck to the next guy, look forward to hearing how great it went :) I hope the next guy will get bent over backwards for. As he should be. Cars don’t sell themselves, buyers buy them.

A seller is under no obligation to take a deposit to hold a vehicle for someone.

Context is king, bud. Seems to be a lacking trend. Though I do agree under most circumstances... just missing some context here.

GLWS OP and best of luck to the next buyer. Treat them well, please.

Problem with deposits is people think they are fully refundable. So really what good is the deposit? Sucks to hold a car for someone and then they just change their mind and want the full deposit back.

You keep attacking my integrity, so this will be my last response to you. When someone explains this will be a first come, first served deal does that mean I have to honor something for next week or that we have a deal? Or does it mean, first person who shows up with a check gets the car? You are trying to discredit me with the forum because you are upset you can’t get the car because you don’t like the terms I set out. You called me a tool because someone is coming with a check tomorrow and I wouldn’t honor your next week deal. It’s easy to threaten and name call with anonymity, but I guarantee you wouldn’t do that face to face.

Guarantee I’d be out there Thursday as we discussed if you held up your end of the deal and didn’t jerk me around. It’s okay though, I now have a credit with Delta, so it ended up working out :)

There’s no attacking, just facts.

Let me know when you’re in OKC next, we can discuss in person the finer details. I have no qualms with explaining what we’ve talked to face to face.

Sound like a deal? I hear you’re real good at those.

I kid man, but seriously, give me a holler when you’re in town. I’m buyin, that’s a deal!
