2013 Model S charge port pops open on its own

On my 2013 Model S P85, I often close the charge port door only to have it pop back open a few seconds later. Once in a while, it seems to pop open all on its own long after it has been closed. Has anyone else experienced that? When it's locked it feels secure. Also, it looks like the LEDs around the bottom of the charge connector are no longer working. Another problem I have is often the cable from my wall charger won't open the door either when I push the button.
It was especially annoying when it popped open last night since the connector was full of snow this morning.
Generally, it charges just fine, though.

Magnet might be the magnet. Find some clear tape to keep the snow out.

I believe the chargeport door assembly needs to be replaced - this is common and inexpensive (around $200 including labor).

My 2014 was doing this along with the rear trunk lid. Pulled the fuse on the trunk lid and everything works fine. Why the charge port would open when the trunk lid would I have no idea. The trunk lid I open manually until I get a new wiring harness for the trunk lid.
