I haven't got my car back yet. I only use root access for observation and diagnostics. I don't have the experience to change anything via root access. How is it limited if its rooted? Or did you just get snapshots of the screen after they keyed it in?
If it is rooted, how did the service center respond to knowing that detail? Just curious
With the motor replacement back in Aug 2020, Tesla was weird about the root access but just made sure I could turn off the startup scripts if firmware installation went wrong. Everything went smoothly of course for both motor and battery replacement so far.
