2014 Model S vibrating/whirring sound when slowing down (90k miles)

Over the last couple of weeks, I have noticed a vibrating and whirring sound when I am coming to a stop. When I press the brake pedal even the slightest, the noise will go away. I normally use regenerative braking and have gotten accustomed to one-pedal driving so I thought it may just be from not using the brakes. I tried turning off regenerative braking and giving some hard stops but it has not gotten any better. I have also started to notice the sound when I am driving on the freeway around 70 mph and notice it when i am between 15k - 20kW on the accelerator. Could it be possible that it is the rotors or brake pads? I scheduled service with Tesla but they cannot get me in for another 10 days and I do not want to continue driving if it could be something worse.
