Amazing car, brand new tires, just serviced. Tesla would resell this for 88K, but i am open to offers a bit less. Pictures posted next week when I return.

I just passed on a clean '14 p85d from Tesla for 75 (with jump seats too), so makes you wonder what they took it in for. Miles were at 38k. They seem to be dropping fast.

That's about right with those miles. Prices are still holding better than most comparable brands with similar models (Mercedes S550)

Not really, 2014 P85D with 13k miles just went for 70k on ebay.... P models depreciation is no better than a S class or 7 series.
Auction prices are 69-72 for 14's P85Ds with 120-130 MSRP's , a 109k MSRP S class with 30 miles is 65-69 car... so the myth that Teslas dont depreciate like other luxury brands is false. For a new buyer a mildly optioned 75 is safest bet for the least financial hit.

Model X is even worse, used car dealers cant give them away, spoke to dealer that lost 14k on one.

    P85D cars:
You realize that the 14's are really 2015's
They started building them in December of 14 thru July 2015 so no real difference in year.
The 70K car that sold didn't it have a carfax blemish?
My neighbor just bought a 14 S550 with 17k on the dial for 56500

    Any photos?

I am in the market for a 2014 P85D - I just missed the one on eBay.

    Thanks

No, there was not a carfax blemish.. I talked to the seller.
Yes, the 14 P85D is the same as a 15.. but in the minds of the auto world its a 2014... and its worth less than a 2015.
Base MSRP for a 2014 S550 was 93k.. most were right at 100k . Vast majority of the P85Ds were 125-132 MSRP, so the depreciation is very close if not the same. The myth that Tesla's retain their value better is just not true, only in the cases of a low optioned car.
I bet used P100D's with 150k MSRP's will be going for 100 or slightly under come Fall. The higher the MSRP the worse the loss... just like a S65.. people that buy those should get box Tucks for their ass.

Your friend paid below auction prices for his S550, so he got a steal, bought a high miler, or a car with a bad car fax..

    WHOLESALE/Manheim auction prices

Last 2014 P85D that went through Riverside was almost 2 months ago sold 75000 with 19000 miles
the P85D cars rarely go through auctions and very few saleshere are the results

Last 2015 sales: P85D NO ludicrous cars

    5/4/17 $89,750 7,112 4.4 EL/A Red Regular West Coast Riverside
    4/13/17 $72,000 19,231 4.4 EL/A Silver Regular Southeast Atlanta
    4/6/17 $80,500 15,655 4.6 EL/A White Regular Southeast Palm Beach
    3/31/17 $80,500 23,424 4.3 EL/A

average wholesale pricing on 2014 Mercedes S550 is $55,000 with 35000 miles the vast majority of S550'S on the road had MSRP closer to $110,000

Why do people do this to most threads where someone is trying to sell their vehicle here? These prospective sellers can opt later on if they don't get any reasonable offers to either lower their price, keep their vehicle, or sell elsewhere. This kind of thing happens to almost every thread that seems to have a higher than normal asking price. I hardly ever see the seller quickly lower their asking price by 15K, if ever!
