2014 Tesla Model S P85+. $80,500. No Autopilot. LOADED, with every option available.

I have a written trade-in offer from Tesla for $81K, so this car is priced to sell. I?d give it to Tesla, however, their selection is out of my range. I?m hoping to find what I?m looking for privately.

2014 Tesla Model S P85+. LOADED, with every option available. $128,870.00 sticker. ?
Purchased Sept. 2014, with 6K miles, from Tesla Motors, as inventory model. ?This car has been absolutely flawless - I've driven P85+ loaners with less mileage, that don't feel as tight, and quiet as mine. The only reason I'm selling is because I want Autopilot. Absolutely love this car!! Mileage - 21,800 miles. ??

? Rear-facing seats included. ?
? VIN 35243?? new set of rear tires May 2015 ($1,000) ?
? yearly inspection completed Sept. 2015 (just shy of $1000)??

List of options: (EVERY option available, that is..)
Solid White Paint
All Glass Panoramic Roof
21" Grey Turbine Wheels
Black Performance Leather Seats
Carbon Fiber D?cor
White Alcantara Headliner
Standard 2nd row
Carbon Fiber Spoiler
Tesla Red Brake Calipers
Supercharger Enabled
Dual Chargers
Tech Package
Smart Air Suspension
Ultra High Fidelity Sound
Subzero Weather Package
Rear Facing Seats
Extended Nappa Leather Trim
Premium Interior Lighting
Performance Plus

I would take that offer. I bought this exact car (March 2014 P85+) in March of 2015 for $80K with 15K on the clock from a private party. I would take the money and run.

BTW the P85+ is an awesome Model S, they don't make that suspension anymore and I consider this to be the "M" suspension of the Tesla line. I wish I needed a third Tesla, I would get this one!

I would take that offer.

Hey Xenophobe - nice P85+! Love that Black and Tan combination.

I still might take Tesla's offer, however it only applies towards an existing preowned model, not cash, unfortunately.
I want another P85+, and Tesla's only has Inventory Autopilot P85+ models to choose from. No used ones. Even with the tax credit, they're around $5000 more expensive than equivalent private party models. Also, I can't turn mine in, and buy later.

One last thing - mine has the rear-facing seats, which I've noticed on their Preowned site commands a premium over one without it.

Happy Motorin'!

Why can't you apply that trade-in value towards a new one?

Douglas. Congrats on your new P85+! You have great taste.
I looked at Hank's site, (great find - appreciate the info) and they only list 2014 P85+ models.
I was just happy that I found a 2015 P85+, that's all. Tesla told me that less than 100 of them exist.

Hmm.. now you have me thinking about trading up my P85+ for an almost identical P85+ with AP.

Over my car this one adds:

  • Black Alcantara Dashboard Accents
  • Folding Mirrors
  • Rear Facing Seats (I'd just sell these)

But doens't have:

  • Dual chargers
  • Yacht Floor (I thought they became standard?)
  • Lighting Package (no biggie)

I wonder what my trade-in value would be? How do I find this out?

HankLloydRight! You built the EV-CPO Consolidator? Wow! Very impressed with your skills.

As for your trade-in value, just call your local Tesla advisor. They gave me my trade-in value over email, sight-unseen. Their offer is based on age, and mileage.
My offer from Tesla was solid. As you can see, I couldn't even sell mine privately for $500 less than Tesla's wholesale offer.
Good luck!
